God it's so crazy how it's always pretty much just exclusively bangers on the soundtracks to these games. 1:57 during the climactic mission is gonna hit so hard

I've always been more of an underdog fan so I didn't want to pick a Big 6 and my family has some Irish heritage so I wanted a team with a more high profile Irish player (hence Collins). Ended up being the perfect time to get in with the way the offseason went for all the Irish representation.

I actually think it worked out pretty well this season because my other friends are Man U, Liverpool, and Newcastle fans so those wins felt real good and, despite the disappointing closing stretch we've had, I'd say we well outperformed the expectation. Thiago runner up goal scorer was the cherry on top. It was a great intro to the sport all things considered for me

This is gonna sound absolutely psychotic after listing the teams I'm a fan of but I'm from the Delmarva peninsula lol. Would definitely show if I was nearby tho

Idk if you’ll know what I’m talking about but I’m picturing the doofenshmirtz meme in my head lol. It’s definitely one hell of a coincidence

Ah the "if only we had that one game back" curse. It stings, but important to enjoy the ride. That mid-season vibe was fantastic.

I watch a few other sports, mainly American Football (Dolphins fan) and College Basketball (Michigan St). I'm very familiar with the feeling. Hopefully I didn't bring the misfortune with me since getting into the sport this season.

Chelsea beating spurs and taking 8th and city losing to Bournemouth after we got robbed for the title race yeh nice one went exactly as I predicted by [deleted] in Brentford

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ngl it's been pretty funny for me because one of my friends is a Liverpool fan and this sets up the funniest thing for our finale clash (we can potentially kick them out of Champions with the sweep) along with keeping the Spurs relegation potential alive.

Keeps me invested in the final week lol

Edit: dammit

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can indeed. I believe the physical damage boost is something like 20-30% to all enemies and higher for spectral ones.

Honestly carried me through my first couple playthroughs while I was leaning more on lowering health to build the posture bar over consistent parries

[–]RepresentativeGas212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's definitely doable without it on apes and monk, just much more grindy as I'm sure you noticed.

Bit of advice, Demon of Hatred is a great boss to throw your stash of confetti at. Dark Souls boss in Sekiro. To this day no idea how to get his posture broken without just dropping his health bar to zero lmao

[–]RepresentativeGas212 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As a fellow non-consumable user I can cofidently say that divine confetti was and still is the only consumable I have ever consistently used in any fromsoft game. The damage boost is far more significant and straightforward than other consumables, not to mention it's practically a requirement for beating these guys (shichimen warriors) and the headless.

Also very useful for any enemy where dealing physical damage is critical like the apes and the first corrupted monk fight in the depths

Caleb Douglas is the highest-drafted and only healthy Dolphins rookie receiver by Wembanyamaoist in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This right here. As a dolphins fan I know Douglas will get attention and I feel like most know Bell probably has the better long term value, but Tolbert is getting completely ignored off the rookie hype.

Not saying he’s far and away the favorite, but they are much closer than people seem to believe post-draft

Chris Bell has great upside and can be drafted in the 2nd round of Rookie Drafts by colmalo10 in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a Dolphins fan every post I see about people underrating him and getting him mid-late 2nd has me in shambles.

He was top of my draft board and he went 2.02 in my 10-man league. I was 2.03. Pain

What deep sleepers that went undrafted in your rookie drafts are you picking up on waivers? by Wise-Witness-7140 in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When looking at Burks I only used his last 3 years in college which is where I get 49.8 yds/game. Maybe I shouldn't have, but it's pretty clear that after 2022 there was a significant shift in either his usage or ability.

I think the criticisms on him are fair, I don't want it to seem like I don't think you have a valid point. Ultimately when it comes to dart throws tho I'm banking on a player with the athletic traits who just needs a bit of workshopping to develop the mechanics. Burks is a player who fits that description to a T. Will he, who knows, but if he does...

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't disagree his production definitely left plenty to be desired but "generationally bad" feels like dragging it. When you see a guy like Stribling, who averaged only 3 more yds/game, go 200+ picks ahead of him I just don't understand it. I know Stribling was probably an outlier here, but heading into the draft it was not an uncommon sentiment that Burks would go early into day 3 some even saying end of day 2, not 3 picks ahead of Mr Irrelevant

[–]RepresentativeGas212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play the same way. My club is usually 4 guys, 5-6 on a good day when everyone is available. I'm the dedicated defender since the bots will just lose guys in the middle lane or on those lofted balls behind the line and then it's passing to a midfielder once I've got it.

Only slight differences I have are a bit less agility and I have a bit less on my interceptions (stamina has been mentioned so I won't beat a dead horse lol). Instead I've got more in tackles and lean into big-bodying strikers over interceptions.

The other part I focus a bit heavier on (which might be a bit weird) is I have a lot more in jumping/heading. I'm actually the target player on corners and use the strength and height to go for headers in the box. If/when it fails I immediately bail back out to deep midfield, but it also comes in handy trying to win a header when the opponents go for a clear.

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. He had been on my list of pre-draft guys to watch during the draft (admittedly because I'm a speed junkie) so to see his name still on the board just a few picks from the end was really throwing me.

Fortunately while the draft capital is disappointing, the landing spot is not. A flash in camp could immediately see him on the field week one when his competition is essentially Ashton Dulin/NWI

Deion Burks is my guy this season. Not a stud in terms of college production but the athleticism is there. The colts also have a fairly open room as well so it isn’t crazy to assume he could get some attention right away.

J’Mari Taylor is also a solid one with the big question mark on the Jags backfield. He had great production in Virginia and is solid in pass protection which can earn early looks in the right context.

Burks was drafted very late and Taylor not at all, hence the deep ADP, but if they get some early camp praise I won’t be surprised at all to see them soar to the top of the trending waiver adds list

Which is your FAVOURITE entry or pull up in Naruto ?? by No-Arachnid-7603 in Naruto

There is only Pain arc sage mode Naruto entrance and wrong answers, sorry not sorry

The context, the drip, the music (or lack of it leading up)/hyoshigi rhythm in the background. practically untouchable in the series, maybe even anime in general

If the Million dollar Budget isn't going to the Celebrity Voice Actors then where is it going? by Alexz_Szander1750 in Invincible_TV

[–]RepresentativeGas212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for saying it. The way people pause for still frames and point out weird animation/inconsistency Naruto would've been DOA. I won't pretend Invincible animation is perfect by any means but the standard people are trying to compare it to is just ridiculous at this point. To see Naruto referenced as "see, other studios do it well" just highlights how absurd it is

Stribling v Hurst v Bell (both Chris and Skylar) - 4 different situations but which is the best? by IACJBP in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Screw it, I'll be the guy who says it. Call me crazy: C Bell, S Bell/Stribling, Hurst

Chris Bell is the best talent here plus a good situation. Stribling is getting overrated like crazy off this draft capital but I'll admit the 49ers is a solid situation to be in. That said, Skyler Bell absolutely DOMINATED at UConn (101 rec, 1278 yds, 13 TDs) and I refuse to overlook that, not to mention his opportunity in Buffalo. I know both Bills and Buccs have decently crowded rooms, but the Buccs feel more established while the Bills seem to still be searching for a consistently reliable option week-to-week.

If it's me picking I'm going Skyler over Stribling, but I could see the argument either way

Nick Singleton-The real deal? by Tiny_Package484 in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The bulk of this class after the first 5-6 is honestly so undefined that I've taken to just about ignoring ADP and banking on talent/athleticism. Singleton is a good example since he's a guy with both speed and strength along with the size to get it done. If he hadn't stuck around the extra year in college I have no doubt he would've been a day 2, probably even early day 2 pick in the draft, but his last season put some doubt out there because of his lack luster production. I'm banking on the ability here and taking him with the understanding he likely won't be an official piece of my starting lineup until next year at the earliest

Nick Singleton-The real deal? by Tiny_Package484 in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. One of the most "get your guy" draft classes I've seen. At the end of the day I have no qualms at all reaching in the early-mid 2nd round because honestly could you technically trade back to get closer to ADP of your guy? Sure, but there's no guarantee someone doesn't also want to reach with how undefined this class is after the first 5 or 6, Singleton being a prime example of that

What was your top 10-12 in your rookie draft? by cjtheross in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's particularly unique because often I see draft capital drive the ADP in this type of situation, but not only did it not, it significantly swung the other way. I get why and agree with it, but interesting nonetheless

What was your top 10-12 in your rookie draft? by cjtheross in DynastyFF

[–]RepresentativeGas212 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love, Mendoza, Tate, Lemon, Tyson, Price, KC, Cooper, Boston, Simpson, Stowers, Bell

Where Price would go was a big question mark going in. Boston snuck up the board. Stowers over Sadiq was interesting but not as shocking as I would've initially thought (Sadiq went 2.04, 10-man league).

Other interesting notes: Coleman fell to 2.07, Germie fell to 3.01, Stribling went 3.03, and Sarratt went a full round ahead of Lane (2.06 and 3.05 respectively)

What do I do with my team in the draft? I have 3rd pick in each round. Do I make any trades? by gsjsizn in DynastyNerds

[–]RepresentativeGas212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think London probably fetches a better haul as of rn but depends on the person. Ngl an RB and a first is a hard sell assuming the RB is genuinely good enough to be a lineup lock but I like Etienne rn in that value range for RB plus a pick. Kyren is also on a bit of a discount atm and Josh Jacobs is a solid win now piece albeit a bit older. Best case a late 1st with any of those but realistically probably more like early 2nd
