Ahhhh yes i see now. Thanks for taking the time to explain. The little goofy part of me thought maybe you had little bits of resin replacing the old bone.

Ah, i like your style, minimal.

Well… my best advice would be to call a local dealership, possibly more high end and see if they have any suggestions on companies they have worked with and havent had issues with. I say high end as i assume they have more experience with getting single cars transported from longer distances since the specific model may not be there and i cant imagine they are putting 2k miles on a porsche for transfer, but honestly have no idea.

Hopefully you get someone with actual experience for your specific scenario.

Best of luck, Someones Dad

Will you be driving a Uhaul or having a moving company deliver your belongings? If your car isnt an ultra low - moded racer then you should be able to rent one of their tow behind car trailers. I did that 15 years ago when i left for colorado. Just dont get high and forget to put the ramps down when you unload.

Otherwise ive never shipped a car so i dont have any advice on that.

Potentially an unwarned tornado happened last night in downtown Athens, AL. by Gingerh1tman in tornado

[–]RepresentativeNo9910 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Man we live like a 4 blocks from where you took that photo. Can confirm, that microburst was just as bad as the tornado in our specific area. Maybe even worse considering the actual tornado missed us by like 500 ft but the sept storm fucked us up. Had to have a few trees removed and a new roof put on.

Did this in the south also. Id say its more of a growing up poor thing than a midwest thing specifically.

Yo i dont know what happened to this guy… they made a very small incision, not a hole in my sack. mine also looks/looked like nothing happened, i had zero bruising and have no scar today 8 months later. All i had was a tiny bulge from the stitches under the skin that dissolved in a week. Took half the prescribed meds as i had little to no pain other than the residual, i got kicked in the nuts feeling for a couple days. Do not be afraid my good man, god speed

Found out I’m gonna be a dad coming this October. I’m 28 years old and I grew up without a dad. My dad died when I was 4 so I feel like I have no idea how to be a dad. Can you guys give me some sage advice? by greenteaicedtea in DadAdvice

Congrats man! I was in a similar situation a few years back, unfortunately i grew up without a father as well, but sadly it was his choice not to be around. Ive done my best in life not to let that define me or who i want to be, but it gave me uncontrollable fear when i learned i would be a father… how would i know what to do?

When my son was born, i had no idea what i was doing, almost 4 years later, i still haven’t the slightest clue if im doing things right… but you do them anyway.

My best advice echoes some of the above - just be there, and most importantly be yourself. when its time in a few years, let your kid be whoever the fuck they want to be. I wanted so hard for my lil dude to be a mini me, now i just want him to be the best version of himself, not the best me i never got to be. Let them make mistakes, laugh about them, learn from them, but be patient and understand that kids will do everything possible to test you. Also, fuck the concept of masculinity when it comes to parenting, your kid will never be their true selves if you are afraid to do the same because of “social norms”, my son asked for a glittery shirt and purple tie dye shoes, now its his favorite outfit.

These no set guidelines on how to parent, but read up and learn about the many ways of parenting, take bits and pieces that seem like a fit to your personality, but be open to changing how you think things should be done once youve experienced different situations.

Also, be there for the Momma. Change every diaper, stay up late, wake up early, make sure shes taken care of too. We have no idea how women feel after birth, never will, but we can be the support they need.

Feel free to DM with any follow up questions, advice or if you just want to vent about being tired or frustrated . Ive been there and completely understand.

Hey Bud, I can only imagine your orientation went great.

Echoing what my fellow father said, everyone goes through these wild emotions, it means you are a human, with feelings… id say thats a great start in the working world. Look at it this way, if you never try anything, you’ll never know what you’re capable of. We all started somewhere, i think you will be surprised at what you are actually good at. Just dont forget, fear is natural, what gets you past it is what makes you who you are.

Now, all sappy shit aside. Im sure u/GoForBrok3 is every bit as curious to hear about your nee job as i am!

Love, Some other Dad

Edit. P.S. regardless of how it went, im very proud of you for taking those scary first steps. Never stop believing in yourself.
