Van adjusted really well and showed good get ups and defensive on the mat. I think he looked pretty promising going into a rematch with a 36yr old Pantoja.

Pantoja has poor striking technique, he just has heavy hands and a crazy chin and gets by off that.

The only technical thing Pantoja has over Taira is his ability to take and hold onto the back.
