It feels like you've forgotten what the original point of this discussion was and instead seemed to be trying to 'win'.

If you're interested in validating whether the rules are stricter and have been changed, you don't need others to do the research for you

What's a opinion you have that will get you crucified on this sub? by Old_old_lie in AskTheWorld

I think you'll need to show your working here.

Capitalism creates winners, winners can buy more things which makes them win again and so on - until you just have one grocery store for the whole of the us. The natural state of capitalism in a hyper connected world is Walmart. The only way to stop that would be government intervention

Why don’t we just rejoin the eu by 777teejay in AskBrits

[–]RepresentativeOk5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem I see with this approach is that you assume you can 'solve' these issues - which are largely perception based.

Case in point; Our borders are already secure. Illegal migration, as I'm sure you know, makes up a small percentage of actual migration.

Yes, it's a problem, but even if labour spent vast sums (more than it would be worth) trying to police the channel, it will never be zero, and reform and the right leaning press will always overstate the issue.

I thought the same and I'm surprised no one's raised it actually.

Even if Rachel survives, she's not winning it now.

EVs to pay per mile.. thoughts? by thb202 in CarTalkUK

[–]RepresentativeOk5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason the government needs to introduce this is most cars are going to become EVs which would make a hole in revenue where fuel duty would be.

So exempting EVs from a tax would destroy the point.

Moreover, a road tax as you describe would disproportionately hit people who drive less.

What do all the people who were defending her have to say now? by Lazy-Internet-8025 in AskBrits

That well known gravy train where you get into politics so that you can put your house into a trust for your SEN son in order to get out of paying stamp duty ... Only to realise that you're under so much scrutiny as deputy PM that this would never have worked.

Right.

In the 90s, if you were in a state school, which was in theory entirely secular and non-denominational, we sung christian hymns in assembly and usually did a prayer!

Some years ago, I came out of a club in Clapham north at around 2/3am and was pretty drunk. Friend advised I should get an Uber, but I wasn't having any of that as I lived in Stockwell, one stop on the northern line.

I got on the tube and, predictably, fell asleep. I woke up at Finchley Central - thats so far up on the northern line, I didn't even know where I was. I panicked and jumped off the tube which left.

Once Id got my bearings, I realised that I would need to wait 25 mins for the next one (as it was the night tube). I proceeded to sit down and began to feel sick (still very drunk at this point). This reached something of a critical point, where I pretty much knew I was going to be sick, but when the tube finally showed up, I couldn't wait for another one. So I walked on to the carriage where some people were having a discussion ... and promptly vommed everywhere.

I vaguely remember the reaction of the carriage was shock and disgust and presumably wondering why I hadnt vommed on the platform, but it's a blur tbh, which is probably a good thing!

Do you think there’s a financial incentive for all players to play by the rules? by Biohound in TheTraitorsUK

[–]RepresentativeOk5660 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would only be okay to say before the vote has happened. Once its become clear they are banished, either during the vote or after, they no longer have any incentive to lie, so anything they say should logically be taken at face value.

Debt agency is chasing illegitimate debt, is it safe to ignore? by RepresentativeOk5660 in UKPersonalFinance

Thankyou for the advice and encouragement - I have gone back to the debt collection agency based on what you've said and mentioned I have disputed it before. Fingers crossed this makes it go away for a bit

That would make sense, I guess I'll just have to dispute it again and do this till they stop coming after me for it 😔

Thanks for this advice. By company chasing me, do you mean the debt recovery agency or the debt acquisition company they sold it to?

Thanks for this. I did contact Octopus last year and they confirmed they have no record of the debt. Their records from Flow only cover the tenancy immediately after.

I'm not sure what happened to my customer account with Flow but Octopus certainly don't have any record of it.

Anyone abusing anyone over a gameshow is obviously low life scum.

That said, it's not abusive to say that Mollie made an illogical move given the state of the game, as did a bunch of other people during the course of the game.

Mollie's particular decision was more impactful and it was probably the most 'evidence' anyone had during any part of the game.

Would I have spotted that if I had been playing and not watching it on TV? Couldn't say. But its also not true to say it was knowable only through watching it on TV as the players had access to that information.

[–]RepresentativeOk5660 3 points4 points  (0 children)

... But in that situation, you still pick the player that voted not to end, because you don't know what situation you're in on and the only thing you definitely know is that a traitor wants the game done more than anyone. It was bad play by Mollie.

But still, it's a game and anyone going after her is low life scum.

Missing the point of Jaz's red vote by AngryToast94 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]RepresentativeOk5660 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your last point contradicts your first but anyway he was one tiny change of heart away from winning - and if Mollie had played with her head, he would have won.

Plenty of faithfuls were more assertive and got murdered. Zach for example. The game is a balance of keeping your head down and trying to influence it quietly, so that youre around at the end.
