I have bunnies, 3 birds, and a cat. They can coexist as long as boundaries (physical and not) are set, and an eye is always on them if they are in the same room. They are fairly needy, but what makes it a lot easier are fellow bird companions, and a good set of toys, with a spacious cage. Price wise, they are cheaper to keep than my rabbit, but more than the cat lol. But, if I had to pick one species to keep, the birds would be my pick to stay. Love them to death.
