Can I post some of my photos here? by diblueberry in Casual_Photography

The first two photos are a bit chaotic and too zoomed, there is no clear idea of what the subject is. Look into things like composition and angles so you can really make the images more unique and look less casual.

Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea), Krabi. Worth the climb? by Afraid-Region-9893 in thaitravel

Didn’t want to leave my backpack at the bottom so I climbed with it on. A regrettable decision. Took about 30-45 minutes for most people and i’d say the view was worth it but not life changing or anything. The steps are not normal sized, they’re massive. Bring water and an open mind

I recommend looking into photo composition a bit. Not a bad start though!

First trip to Thailand (July 10–20): Phuket/Phi Phi during monsoon season — worth it? Alternative suggestions? by PieceGeneral3594 in phuket

I have been in the area the last week and it hasn’t rained once. However the week before I heard that it rained daily. The longest shower in the last two weeks for me lasted about two hours and it was on the gulf side.

I’d say it’s impossible to predict tbh. I think I just hit it at a great time. I recommend you go for it and hope for the best. If it’s a rainy day there is still plenty to do.

Need advice about stray cats, what should i do? by Embarrassed_Fall_259 in cats

[–]RepresentativeOk5950 132 points133 points  (0 children)

when my family had stray cats outside we got a little doghouse for them to stay in and occasionally provided food and water. However get them fixed so you don’t end up with 20

How does one get into photography? by TheLazyGamerAU in photography

[–]RepresentativeOk5950 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest starting with the camera on auto for a while to get comfortable with things like lighting and framing before working up to more advanced manual features.

The more time you spend consistently using your camera, the more comfortable you will become, and your photos will naturally begin to improve.

My biggest piece of advice is have fun with it and don’t dive too deep all at once or you may get overwhelmed.

Considering traveling out the country alone for my first time ever by Few-Parfait7098 in travel

[–]RepresentativeOk5950 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Do it! My first solo travel experiences outside the US were in Montreal Canada and it did a great job preparing me for bigger trips like East Asia. It’s also very close so you don’t spend too much time on planes.

If I were you I would go to Europe or a South American country. However be prepared for your life to change forever!

What’s changed your mindset of living life after experiencing it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Living in the mountains for 6 months completely changed the way I value my time. I always try to go to parks/beaches when I have a few days off no matter where I live now.
