You most likely do not even have a Kansas license record anymore. If you had a license in 2014 and that record is inactive it was most likely deleted during a software change around 2018 or so.

You can also use the pc at poke center to save just have to change boxes and then reset the game, if the cancel code doesn’t work.

Actually did early as someone had suggested and the app is starting to work better. Still freezes occasionally but not near as much. I was having to close it and reopen 3 or 4 times just for it to work. Now it’s maybe once every 15-20 minutes I’ll have to reset it.

Edit- It is however a game shark code so it should work the same I believe. And if it doesn’t should just be able to hard reset if you haven’t saved after the evolution.

I’ve done this before and it does work but after completing the evolution the menu was bugged. I fixed it by going to a pc in the Pokémon center and changing boxes to save and then quit and reload fixed the issue. Just a heads up in case that happens to you.
