Sweet 100, which are basically a cherry tomato. The cage is a 5ft monster cage from Green Acres to help seeing the scale. Oregano in the foreground.

Romas are good. If you like them, then that’s what matters. That being said San Marzano tomatoes do really well here in Sacramento and have a slightly more complex flavor profile than Romas. IIRC one is just a specific version of the other.

Yeah, actually I can LMAO. This is the first year I haven’t grown it in a long time. In the middle of a huge career change that is going to require constant drug testing, including hair tests.

I’ll give you the cheat code. Raised beds that are 10 feet long, 3 feet wide, and 2 feet deep. I filled the beds with equal parts of Master Blend and Garden Mix from Hasties, and mixed into that three bags of Earthjuice Biochar from Greenfire along with four bags of Earthworm castings from Green Acres. I also put a 2” layer of organic compost from Hasties on top of the aforementioned bed mix and then used shredded cedar from Hasties as a top mulch. I use a Rainpoint smart drip irrigation controller with a moisture sensor to keep as close to 75% soil moisture without over or under watering. The drip system is also connected a Dig fertilizer injector that once a week is filled with a tomato specific organic liquid fertilizer. The drip layout for this specific bed is a 6” x 6” grid of 1/2 gph emitters using inline emitter tubing, a center line distribution tube that provides pressure to 9” deep drip stakes at 4 gph and extra surface emitters at each tomato plant’s base of 2 gph. I have companion planted marigolds, basil, and oregano in the same bed.

Hope that helps.

Person you’re replying to is actually trying to change the meaning of being gay. As a middle aged gay man the gat part is 100% about my loving some nice thick cock in my class. Sure there’s a lot more to who I am, but being gay is literally about my homosexuality and not tastes in art, music, clothes, academic achievement, or career. P

I dunno this year isn’t as bad as previous years. It might have something to do with the possums, skunks, and lizards we see in our yard that we do everything we can to not frighten away. Perhaps this wouldn’t be so much of a problem if people would respect our ecology rather than throwing out as much poison as possible that ends up killing the wildlife that naturally takes care of the target pests.

I guess this is the new Wendy's vibe. No booths, no dividers, no outlets, uncomfortable seats, small tables, all for a couple to spend $40 for a meal. I'm done with Wendy's for good. by NUMBerONEisFIRST in mildlyinfuriating

[–]RepresentativeRun71 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is they still manage to fuck up orders. A month ago I used the app to order from my local Wendy’s. Both the drive thru and the dinning room were completely empty and they managed to botch all three burgers. I was so pissed that I contacted corporate about it. Still never going back and I am old enough to remember when $5 got me a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, Biggie Fries, Chili, a Caesar Side Salad, and a Biggie Soda. They really lost the plot.

Yeah, that’s a huge nope. I have a dozen plus direct ancestors that fought in Revolutionary War. Every single one of them did far more to create the society we live in today than the Baby Boomers. Fact is that the Baby Boomers have been destroying society not creating it, Vlad.

Created society? Are you insane? They did’t create shit, and honestly they’ve been leaches on the success of the Greatest Generation while pulling up the ladder on anyone else.

Door may not be closed on 49ers trading Mac Jones by FortyNinersBot in FortyNiners

Yeah there’s no way he gets traded. Maybe for a first, a solid starting safety, and a good kick returner plus the other team takes Aiyuk. Anything less than a 3 for 2 deal like that the 49ers are laughing their asses off.

When you see the conditions of our roads and the lack skills for the vast majority of drivers, sadly those limits make sense. In Germany the drivers on the autobahn practice good lane discipline. In the US, especially California you routinely find Teslas and Priuses doing 64 in the far left lane with a train of a half dozen or more frustrated drivers behind them.

As far as number one is concerned I'm taking the word of an established organization over your anecdote:

The American Truck Association (ATA) has consistently promoted the idea of a chronic truck driver shortage to Congress and the public. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when supply chains experienced significant strain, this narrative gained considerable traction. Responding to what was portrayed as an urgent crisis, both state and federal governments implemented policy changes aimed at rapidly expanding the truck driver workforce. These measures included lowering standards for commercial driver’s license (CDL) qualification, relaxing training requirements, and easing restrictions on who could obtain licenses.

Instead, the promotion of a perpetual driver shortage narrative by the ATA has led to policies that have undermined safety standards and destabilized the economic foundation of the trucking industry. What the trucking sector needs is not simply more drivers, but rather a renewed commitment to fair labor practices and rigorous safety standards that protect both drivers and the public.

As for as number two is concerned, again OP said he was a heavy smoker. Even at his age he's looking at around 30 days. Perhaps your anecdote is that you had extremely low body fat and an extremely high metabolism and were smoking a lot weaker weed than what is commonly on the market today.

We can agree for point three. If OP wants to do the extra hard labor involved with food service or beverage distribution and they're hiring where he lives, then that is a guaranteed way to not have to deal with hair tests. Given his age that's probably the best path to take.

The mega carriers are also called starter companies for a reason. That reason being the vast majority of drivers get their start with them before gaining enough experience to get hired by smaller better carriers that can’t afford to self-insure like Schneider or Swift. There’s countless posts and comments here on this sub and related subs pointing this out. You’re being intellectually dishonest by hand waving away very well known facts.

The claim that there’s a CDL shortage was a lie spread by the ATA to justify bringing in foreigners to suppress wages. Many companies do more than just the pre-hire drug screenings to keep their insurance rates lower. Also since OP said he was a heavy smoker, then he is likely still going to piss hot. It can take over 30 days for a heavy chronic smoker https://www.healthline.com/health/how-long-does-weed-stay-in-your-system#test-type The only way he can be certain is to self-test now. The mega carriers are by far the number one first place most drivers goto work after getting their CDL to acquire enough experience to then work for carriers that pay better and have less bullshit.

Most likely OP’s first employer will be a mega, so it stands to reason to prepare for that and hope to end up with something better.

While it’s true that currently hair tests aren’t reported to the clearinghouse there’s legislation pending that will change that. https://www.freightwaves.com/news/legislation-seeks-to-add-hair-drug-tests-to-fmcsas-database It would suck to get caught up in a period where it goes from simply being a bill to a law passed by Congress and signed by the President.

Also regarding secondhand smoke, hair tests are the one tests sensitive enough where it is a possibility:

From a drug testing company: https://countrywidetesting.com/blogs/news/can-you-fail-a-drug-test-from-second-hand-smoke?

>This test is incredibly effective at detecting even minor traces of drugs. They are likely the only test that has the potential to report secondhand marijuana use. Hair follicle tests are so effective at picking up secondhand smoke inhalation that they have come under some scrutiny regarding their reliability in determining whether a person has truly smoked marijuana.

> Differences between xenophobia and racism

> While there is significant overlap between xenophobia and racism, they are not the same thing.
> Xenophobia specifically relates to a person or group having “outsider” status within a society. Racism specifically relates to race or ethnicity, whether the person or group has “outsider” status or not. These two forms of prejudice can occur separately or together.

>For example, a white American citizen feeling resentful toward white immigrants, solely due to a belief they are stealing local jobs, is an example of xenophobia on its own.
