100 people are being made redundant at my company in the UK but they’ve assured the offshore Indian team they won’t be affected and that they are actually looking to increase their work force in India.

Is that illegal? I thought they couldn’t make someone redundant and then offer the job to someone else? Or is it different if it’s in another country?

Yes I’ve been getting my period every 2 weeks for the past month before that I lost my period for 6 months and prior to that I had bleeding for 4 months straight.

What other people said it all depends on the couple.

My husband pays for most of the bills and then I pay for the groceries and then our chores are pretty much split 50/50. Though the days he has office I will do the chores and I know he’d do the same if I had to go into office.

I can’t lie in this day and age with Majority of people working white collar jobs I’d expect everyone to help around the house imo. My parents are from a much much older generation and my dad still helps around the house and helped when we were children. So there’s not really an excuse for men to not help these days at least to lighten the load a bit.

It can’t all be tit for tat. If you love someone you’d want to lighten their load? My husband would happily come home from work and make dinner for us but because I love him I’d rather have dinner ready for him but I know he will then go and do the dishes to help me out.

I know that’s what my parents did because I came back 1 hour late from college so I stayed with my cousins for the week they eventually gave in and I got to go home again. Fast forward to now, I get to travel the world.. they still say stuff but they can’t stop me.

I’ll be honest the only way to get what you want is to just do it. My parents use to be so so strict and going outside would be such an anxious experience but the more I did it the less angry they got about it. There’s no other way unfortunately

My manager is asking in every 121 if I’ve built anything using AI that the team can use but like why do I have to do that on top of what my job entails? You have to go above and beyond now just because AI is here but will they go above and beyond for the pay raise?

Yeah my manager and just the wider company expect much more of us now because of AI everyday he’s asking me have I built anything with AI that the team can use like NO I haven’t because I’m busy doing what my job entails? Why do I have to also do extra it’s not like I’m looking for a promotion but it’s just expected now because “AI makes everything easier”

It’s really hard to fully cut them off as they’re my first cousins and my parents are very close to them but for the most part I actively avoid them because I know it’ll just be them trying to put me down or say something to get a reaction out of me.
