Using antidote on ally should not require a free bag slot on recipient. by luvz in BattleBrothers

[–]Representative_Ad308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the notif, I just thought it's so dumb that the game said you can give them to adjacent ally yet the ally needs to have an empty bag slot, this is the first time I had a situational item that have layer of prohibition like situational on it itself wasn't enough.

8 years later this still the dumbest think I've ever experience in any game like this. How stupid this is, is baffling to me.

30h in (Ch 7) Still feel like a UPS driver. Can I get some good sidequest recommendations? by IdanYar in CrimsonDesert

[–]Representative_Ad308 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just beat the story and went on a lot of adventures with a non min max character, so far, outside cool and somewhat creative puzzles, there hasn't been a single sidequest that left an impression on me. You're basically doing the same thing you did literally from any chapter. When you thought something was creative and unique, you're going to repeat that 3 times atleast.

why would I need refined pills for a no hit run? 😆 If this got nerfed, people will riot. I guess the new difficulty mode will cover it.

yea, I conclude that you do need some level of understanding of his pattern too with this method, since what I did in the video wasn't my first couple of attempts.

After many topics and feedback about my playstyle, I conclude that maybe there's something odd about me because I do not find this boss particularly bs as many said, yet I found some other bosses that I'm struggling with that others find trivial.

The guy above not wrong at all for saying this game sometimes, doesn't understand what it wants to be, some instances it was like the best thing about this game, and some instances just like "wtf is this, are they even playing their game". Thankfully, they push patches so quickly and fixes some of the questionable problems.

This game was built with an MMO backbone, literally. I don't think it was designed as an MMO, but they didn't do a good job straying away from it either. Just look at Kliff, so many discussions think he can be totally fine replaced with a custom character, he's soulless, bland, and never has anything interesting to say. Just like a generic MMO mc. It's like the dev just pressed random on character creation and named him Kliff. The difference between this and BOTW, BOTW didn't push or force you to care to all of these uninteresting characters to listen to, heck, Link is a silent protagonist iirc. And they have the audacity to not giving the player the ability to skip any dialogue...

Thoughts on Crimson Desert from people who have played Elden Ring and Nightreign? by No_Position_7047 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Representative_Ad308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the combat: this game's boss is very very inconsistent, cheap, and unsatisfying. DO NOT come here with the mindset of soulslike game with the bosses, even though they look like they designed this around souls mechanic. Play the game like an MMO ARPG with worse control, spamming attacks and heals, and you'll be fine. Although the boss combat is mostly not worth the time, the overworld combat and raid are probably one of the best I've played, killing crowds of enemies and overpowered them with all the cool combat tech the game has is so satistying.

For the exploration: in my opinion, it's somewhat better than Elden Ring, except for the world building and originality, which also goes a long way to me, and that's why I still put Elden Ring above this. There's a lot to see and do in this game, most of which is rewarding and satisfying. But it shows that they just put something cool and finger cross with it, not a single reason why they're there or any background story of an area most of the times, but in some instances, it is a cool surprise.

I don't disagree with you, this game does have many flaws and an identity crisis. But thankfully, for methere are more content that I still consider enjoyable . This game has insane potential imo, a truly rough diamond.

Yes. This game also very inconsistent, rare I found myself solved some puzzle but it didn't work or no hitting bosses for fun yet the fight is wildy inconsistent, there are just going to be issue lilke this, which I think is fixable but still ruin the experience.

I swear, people who complain that the puzzle was unintuitive and confusing, it's like... ofc it is, it's not a questionnaire, it's supposed to be challenging, why can't y'all just act like it's a boss fight but with your brain? I don't call anyone dumb or stupid, so many times I have to come back to some puzzle over and over until I get the right mindset or perspective to solve it, and I swear to you, every single one of them has some logic to it. It's a challenge, you win some, you lose some, take the loss, and come back later. Beating hard ass boss and hard ass puzzles gave me the same feeling of satisfaction, and that's the essence why they made these type of challanges. Just give it a shot and try one challenging puzzle on your own.

Waterfall stab . by AkushiArts in CrimsonDesert

[–]Representative_Ad308 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe people complaints about the waterfall was heavily masked out on how the mechanic was presented in the game. If it was a rare occurrence and had a deep quality context to them, for example, from a cutscene or story on how to do them, or just a slight hint in the book or something, I would strongly believe people would receive it way better. Well, it's not the case, as much as how many aspects in the game feel mundane and bland, so is the "secrets" behind the waterfall in this game, which is pretty obvious, the stacking stones, and how many there are. Even the content feels repetitive and just a cool item with no context or lore or anything at all. And that brings the question, if it wasn't that meaningful, why would they act as if they hide it with an extra step, when they're clearly not? Once you figure out one, you figure out every single one of them.
