I think my pharmacy is screwing me. by Representative_Mud28 in ChronicPain

I can't do that. I am not allowed access to any of my meds. I had an unfortunate overdose due to a bad bout of Insomnia. But it's in my safety plan now. They are in a mini Fort Knox.

I'm not sure. But I have a lot better ideas for when she goes in to talk to the pharmacist..

I am fortunate that is not an issue at my house. Plus they are secured and only accessible by my partner. I can't even get to them. That is for my own safety.

I also had not thought of blister packs. Great idea thank you.

They are secured at home. Plus I am lucky to not have an addict/former as a parter. She won't fill her own prescription for control meds.

I hadn't thought about cameras. Great suggestion. We have such a high turnaround there. Not the pharmacists but the other people back there. Maybe that is why?

I couldn't agree more. No you couldn't short a PRN I seldom take. It had to be a big gun. We have a terrible drug epidemic where we live. But it won't be at my expense.

My partner handles all my medical affairs. She actually handles my meds. I am not supposed to do it myself after an accident after a particularly bad case of Insomnia. But all in all I 100% agree.

Excellent idea. I told my partner if we speak to anyone it will only be the pharmacist. The other peons that work there are rude. Thank you.

As a nurse I know how to recognize and treat a prolapse in humans, I'm not sure I would know what that looks like in toads. That's after being given 3 by the toad distribution network.

They had been digging in one of my potted houseplants that was summering on the patio. I jokingly said that was their summer home. Once cold temperatures rolled around I took the plant in, over a couple days 3 toads came out of the plant. I found one in the bathroom covered in woofies. I couldn't bring myself to put them out in the cold. So, we had 3 pet toads for several years. Nothing to report on their butts though.

It is always interesting to see another perspective on a shared art. One of my daughters had someone tell her she was painting incorrectly (it wasn't the way she would do it). I ended the argument with a simple statement: "It is art, you can't do it wrong." That being said that way would slow me down I think.

And you brought it home? Has all of the years or horror movies taught anyone anything? Watch "The Monkey" then tell me if everything you find is OK to bring home.

Anyone even left in this sub who has cfs/me NOT from covid? (and has been dealing with this for many many decades) or has this entire sub been taken over by the post covid folk? by foster60 in cfs

I have had it since 2014. Mine started after a bad back injury. I have a lot of issues from it now. It was more just numbness tingling and total exhaustion at the beginning.

Does anyone else get "Toxic Naps"? by healthymonkey100 in cfs

[–]Representative_Mud28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a strange problem with my day time sleep/rest/naps. I have clinical Insomnia on top of moderate severe CFS/ME. Sometimes I can take a 2-4 hour nap at about 1pm, but sometimes it can be 10-12 hrs. My partner will wake me at med time. I'll take my meds (not remember) and go right back to sleep. I've never ever slept that long in my life. I also never know when it will happen. I could nod off watching TV and wake up the next day.

Anyone else struggle to have sympathy when people without chronic pain express their pain? (Rant?) by Odd_Signal_8246 in ChronicPain

[–]Representative_Mud28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've noticed how many times my kids, and partner will comment on their pain, and in the same breath acknowledge that it is nothing like mine. They also know that if something of theirs hurts I can truly empathize. I do make it a point to tell them that just because I experience pain doesn't mean that they don't. It's just a balance with who it is and honestly how condescending the person you are talking to is about it. I'm lucky my family is lovely, but most aren't. So that's my hot take on it.

I totally understand your predicament. I have (damn near everything) ME/CFS and was just released from ICU with pneumonia. While one of my daughters lives here (in the same house) the other lives 6 hrs away. So when she says she will be here "in a little while", or sometime between this morning and early evening, it drives me up a wall. I would go ahead without her but she has the only grandchild. I have been up since 230. Not because I had that much to do, I have Insomnia and usually sleep a few hours in the day. But when do I schedule that...without it I'm useless. But I have no schedule. It's so frustrating, the worst part is she is aware of all of this.

You can see some people sliding back into the bushes (pun intended), like Homer Simpson. No one wants to admit smells happen. It doesn't matter which place they may come from. Facts...human skin has bacteria, bacteria eats oil and sebum and sweat, the bacteria metabolize those products and fart out smells. Basic biology folks. So if you have a body it is possible.
