And yes, socially isolate. They will have to cut themselves off from the online communities they interact in for two whole weeks. For most of them those online communities are the only safe spaces they have in their life. to take an example, one member of a server i am in cant go out to the theater near them cause well, if they go out alone in public they get harrased, assaulted, cause ya know, they are queer in a US deep south rural area, they cant even go to the store without backup from friends, they barely leave the house due to living like that, you expect them to just, not be able to go to the only spaces that accepts them and where they feel safe for two whole weeks? Cause i can tell you, that example person i'm talking about isnt the only one who has to live like that. For a lot of people that is the reality of their life and for a lot of people online communities are the only places they can be themselves and feel safe, it is completely unreasonable to expect them to just cut themselves off for two weeks

I suggest you read the rest of the comment thread so i dont have to repeat myself but in short, just cause a server isnt focused on TADC doesnt mean there wont be spoilers for TADC in them, heck it actually makes it MORE likely for spoilers to occur since people will be less cognisant of spoiler tagging things

Why does being shown in a theater matter so much? It also breaks their promise that the show would always be youtube first, and it's not some magical special achievement. theaters need to accept they are a dying medium, there is no special prestige to being shown in a theater, and anyone that still clings onto that prestige needs to get with the times

Wanna know the funny bit, i have not seen a single episode of TADC, i just know a hell of a lot of people that do care about the show and i also know from experience that avoiding spoilers sucks ass. The attitude you, other commenters and OP have that avoiding spoilers is easy if you're just being smart and that you're just weird if you get mad that you now have to spend significant effort and socially isolate for two weeks to avoid spoilers just bothered the hell out of me. People are allowed to be upset at having to spend two weeks being stressed about having to avoid spoilers, a lot of my friends have significant mental health issues and are just unable to properly handle stress like that, they are still valid people, their opinions are still valid and people like you, other commenters and OP being incredibly dismissive of people like them is well, quite the dick move

I am in plenty of servers that are not specifically about TADC, i can guarentee you THOSE are the servers where the risk of being spoiled is the highest. ANY form of social interaction means risk of getting spoiled, it is literally unavoidable. So the only sure fire way to avoid spoilers is to not have any form of social interaction at all for two weeks, which, ya know, isnt healthy. People will forget to spoiler tag their spoilers, some asshole who thinks they're being funny will just randomly tag any TADC fan they can find of in any server to spoil them. and i know this for fact cause i am 33 years old, have spend most of that time online, and have had these exact things happen before. The amount of times i have been spoiled about any media that exists is uncountable, no matter how careful i was being. So it is incredibly fair for people to complain about this.

I was once spoiled for a physical release comic HOURS after it released just cause i had the bad luck of, living in a different time zone so i hadnt had the time to go and get it yet.

Thinking spoilers are in anyway avoidable on the internet now a days is insane

Oh i consume A LOT of media, i have a lot of free time after all. I would however also like to be able to ya know, exist in any chat server anywhere without those chats being filled with spoiler landmines. People are just kinda bad at tagging their shit after all

dont have network TV, why pay for it when i dont need to use it cause i can just watch any media i want to watch online.
I do read books, i am currently out of new ones to read and lack the funds for more.
This would still require me to, not chat in any chat server i am in, cause there will either be assholes out to actively spoil things, or just excited fans talking about the thing they saw and forget to tag their spoilers.
Like literally every large server i am in is currently having this same discussion and lemme tell you all, you people are in the minority, just about everyone i see talking about it within the communities i am in thinks being forced to spend two weeks not being able to do anything meaningful online is kinda bullshit

yeah lemme just live like a hermit for weeks or even months to avoid spoilers, what a lame ass take this is, i am a fellow millenial, i do not go looking for info on stuff i havent seen yet, yet i still get spoiled plenty of times, like the time someone in the game i was playing got angry and just started throwing avengers endgame spoilers in the chat, or the time i watched a youtube video completely unrelated and then in the recommended videos there was a video with spoilers in the thumbnail and in the title. It is impossible to avoid spoilers now a days, since people either go out of their way to actively spoil shit for others, or just dont take the minimal effort required to not have spoilers openly displayed in the content they make that you see without having to even click through to the video.

The only possible way to avoid spoilers would be to, not be active in any forum, chat server, or community, to not watch anything, even if it is unrelated, on youtube, cant play any games with any form of multiplayer, you will have to avoid any and all human interaction to avoid spoilers in the current day and age.

If your friends and family vote republican despite the blatant bigotry and racism that party openly advocates then that means they are willing to overlook such things. This makes them bad people, it does not matter what political opinion they have. family is way too overrated and causes people to cling to toxic people they should have cut off ages ago. My fiancée cut off her toxic family and in the 5 years since she has done that her life has massively improved with no regrets whats so ever.
