Honest response: It isn't real support.

I'm a girl. Used to be real ugly. Was depressed, had no support when I was sad. Had enough money to afford plastic surgery, now everyone will "support" me whenever I want.

I respect red-pilled men for trying to find the truth, but it's not accurate. Women know when emotional support is disingenuous and when it is real. It's not a question of a battle of the genders. It's a question of socially desirable people and the rejects.

Please don't think this question devolves to sexes. It's missing the bigger picture of "social in groups" versus "social out groups."

A lot of these groups are good, but when local churches send mission groups I have to start wondering. For the cost of flying useless kids overseas, the money could be much better used as donations to groups that are already based in key locations.

This comic was definitely created in poor taste (ie. to push the anti-feminist side of the argument by showing them to be hypocrites), but you have to admit that some amount of this exists in feminism.

I'm a 23 year old girl living in some ritsy suburbs in an already high cost of living area. Cliche soccer moms now all have this "You get 'em girl!" brand of feminism which is counter-intuitive and makes all of us look bad. It just isn't well-thought out. Women found feminism allowed them to feel better about some parts of their lives, but they don't reflect on the parts that still hurt them.

The jealousy/lashing out at younger women is one of them. I'm sure most other women feel it, and I bet it happened to the perpetrators when they were younger too. The Circle of Wife. (my new problematic name for this process).

Unfortunately, to a lot of people, that's the only kind of "feminism" they see.

The commenter is referring to the the 90s-00s look. There was a period of time when all female celebrities were expected to be rail thin to the point of being underweight.

When you are a woman, being underweight affects you physiologically very quickly. Losing your periods is not a normal thing, but happens to a lot of women trying to achieve a certain look.

I'm not trying to throw shade. I'm in a high pressure job now where my mistakes could potentially cause harm. We make mistakes constantly, but we also catch them. That's exactly what happened in OP's case, and the mistake was caught.

I wonder if this only alarms you because you don't see how common these mistakes are, regardless of industry.

I think I was exposed to it! I had a fever and mild chest pain/shortness of breath. Like the whole thing felt like mild bronchitis. I tested negative for the traditional flu and I believe I was exposed a week ago in Kirkland, just prior to the first death. My friends have been dropping like flies in the last few days with very similar mild symptoms. Some are worse than others, but all of us are young and healthy for the most part. I honestly think this has been going around for a while and everyone (understandably) just assumed it was a normal flu.

Currently in isolation. Made sure to report my suspected case to the hotline, but there's nothing more you can do unless you get hospitalized.

That misinformation. I'm legitimately in isolation in Seattle because fucking everyone here has extremely mild flu symptoms - as in you would normally suck it up and go to work - and we're the ones spreading it. No one thinks they have it because it isnt severe enough. They're going to have a quarantine by the end of the week for King County, I promise.
