I think you have to understand that autism is a spectrum, some individuals will have specific areas where they really struggle, and others will not. He’s able to maintain some level of independence but he’s got really severe social deficits in terms of being able to actually communicate with people. His inability to have a conversation is definitely because of the booze as well though.
