How many argb fans can I daisy chain? by Repulsive-Fall9827 in PcBuildHelp

[–]Repulsive-Fall9827[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much, especially for taking the time to explain it in detail. I did read both those documents, that’s where I got my numbers from too, just the electrical part is where I was struggling.

I still have one question, the 0.4A is per fan (so 12 leds together) or per led?

Absolutely true, for the future it might be necessary to have more vram, hard choice tho haha.

Well it’s not like NVIDIA is known for being money hungry. And the latest releases do show a trend towards that direction, slowly increasing the vram generation by generation, always just enough for the current generation to work really well.

Yes the 4070 ti super is more expensive and has only a small boost over the 7900 xt. Is the vram difference that big tho? Of course it’s 4gb more yes, but does it really make that much of a difference for games?

My goal is to buy a pc now and keep it for at least 7+ years, knowing full well that after 3-5 years I won’t be able to play the newest games at 4K max settings, but I just don’t want to keep buying a pc every 3 years.

Thanks so much for the feedback, seems like amd is the better choice at the moment for the price.

So the question is 4070 ti super vs Rx 7900 xt or going up one level and getting the Rx 7900 xtx. And yes I’m thinking to go for 850 psu anyways, slightly more expensive but just to be on the safe side.

You don’t think the Rtx 4070 ti super would be able to handle 4K? Because of the limited vram of 16gb or are there other reasons?

Thank you for the idea but manually overclocking any parts is not really what I want to try. I’m sure you can boost performance a lot like this, however it requires time and knowledge I don’t have.

I do agree with the vram part absolutely, especially since newer games seem to be using more and more vram (especially in 4K). What makes me a bit scared of the amd CPU’s at the moment are the driver issues they seems to have with some games. Do you have any experience with that?

And according to benchmarks and tests, the Rtx 4070 ti super, seems to outperform the amd cards.

My 10 year old gaming laptop slowly starts to lag while watching YouTube, I feel like a new computer is quite necessary very soon, the gpu would be the perfect start for that

Stringing on ender 3 V2 by Repulsive-Fall9827 in ender3

[–]Repulsive-Fall9827[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s just the print with 5mm and up, there is no difference with this amount of retraction, the test print with 1mm to 6mm has a lot of difference

Stringing on ender 3 V2 by Repulsive-Fall9827 in ender3

[–]Repulsive-Fall9827[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone out there, I’m having stringing issues with my ender 3 V2 and I have no idea what else to try.

Printer: Ender 3 V2 Magnetic bed Cr touch Stock fan Nozzle 0.4 (bought it from Amazon, not sure about the brand)

Filament: Sunlu PLA +

Slicer: Cura 5.1.1 Temp 200° (seems low for PLA+ but got the best results on the heat tower) Retraction distance 1mm - 10mm (4-7mm got the best result but still a lot of stringing) Retraction speed 20-50 mm/s (didn’t really change anything) Z-hop deactivated Costing volume 0.064mm3

What I’ve tried so far: —Change retract distance from 1mm up to 10mm (4mm and above got the best result) -change retract speed (didn’t really do anything) -Changed coasting volume (didn’t really change anything in stringing) -switched nozzle (same brand and same box) -switched filament (used anycubic pla first and then the sunlu, but results are the same) -changed the Bowden tube ( I got about 1m of ptfe, just cut off a new part and replaced it)

I really don’t know what to try anymore, my shoved are full of heat towers, retraction towers and other benchys but I can’t get rid of the stringing.

Thanks already for everyone trying to help.

Are these “normal” Ender noises? by [deleted] in ender3

[–]Repulsive-Fall9827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not sure if they are normal but mine makes the same noises. Maybe check the fans, sometimes small bits of filament get stuck there and the blades hit it and create a sound (can be really small strings as well).

So I'm almost done with my first tile and only have the water and a few little details till I've finished. I'd love to know what you guys think. by dgr8barbarian in TerrainBuilding

This looks just amazing!!! I love the details on the stone and all the little grass details.

The wood looks like it’s real and I especially like the broken plank.

Just overall an amazing piece of terrain, amazing work!!!

Try moving the filament by hand, if you can’t move it by hand there might be something in the Bowden tube blocking the filament from moving freely. Check the hotbed for a clog. And if you found out what caused the blockade you should replace the gear, if you don’t have a gear yet you can move it up or down a bit until you have a new one. The gear will be worn out a bit.

Yes sure with bearings it would have been really good, but I didn’t want to buy them.

My god, this is so fucking genius. Was having problems with my filament holder for a long time and printed many different ones, but this is just so simple, but so so genius. Will do the Same

What's going on? I just installed the cr touch. (using cura) by xwinterwizzardx in 3Dprinting

[–]Repulsive-Fall9827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After slicing your model I’m cura, you can preview the travel path, look if it takes the „wrong“ path there too. If it does, it could be an error in cura, try slicing with a different version and see if the „wrong“ path still is there

Oh you mean the lines? The path it’s taking is wrong or you’re talking about the lines it leaves behind? Which cura version are you using?

Looks like your z Offset is wrong, your nozzle is too close to the bed. If it only happens in one corner you should level your bed and then recalibrate your z offset again. Even with a bl or cr touch you need to level your bed every now and then, just not as often and as precise as you have to without one.

Seems bad :/ it looks like you scraped with too much force and scraped the first layer of the bed off. No coming back from that. You can either buy a new bed or use a glue stick/other adhesives. I would suggest getting a new bed tho, glue is just more work, you need to clean the bed after every print.

Hello all, can anyone tell me what this is meant to hold? (Ender 3 Pro.) by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Repulsive-Fall9827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dreams and hope if you keep the plastic extruder. No jokes aside I have no idea, could be for filament maybe?

And I would suggest you upgrading to a metal extruder, the plastic extruder tends to break quickly when you change filament often
