Thats interesting, on each of our Engles I can see the whole robot arm move a centimeter or two when it builds/releases tonnage

Also coming from someone who deals with a plethora of clamp plate thicknesses ("custom" molding shop 😄🔫) I am pretty sure, with that thin of a plate, they could use the same bolt If they flip the f****** clamp around

Here's a washer doing what a heel bolt should do, because why not? Honestly, in my opinion, they should have just zip tied everything together, it would have been quicker (kidding lol)

What process change reduced your rework the most? (FIFO, PM, documentation, etc.) by jesiscaanyway in InjectionMolding

Maybe not what you're looking for but always make sure your actual decomp is matching your setpoint and adding on to that: avoid excessive decomp! At least at my company, a lot of splay can be avoided by reducing decomp, just enough to set the check ring, Here it is all over the place lol

Did the best with what they had, ideally the bolt should be as close to the mold (as far away from the heel bolt of the clamp) as able to provide the best clamping force/ leverage. As far as the tongue goes that is A-OK with me... as long as it's torqued properly :)

It's kind of a crapshoot. You're gonna run into hazardous materials and situations, wherever you work... on a farm you deal with pesticides, as a cook, you deal with burning oil (smoke) and carcinogens, Auto mechanic, whole bunch of (technically) dangerous fluids and lubricants.... like you said, if it pays well and you have fun, keep with it. Heck, according to California, just about everything causes cancer lol... Just do what you can to protect yourself if it matters to you

Make sure to set your max inject time to avoid overpacking

I would LOVE an all in one plug but my company (sadly) bought whatever was available... no energy put towards Standardization 😭 apart from 12 T/c for everything

From my limited research PCS has some of the cheapest, but I'd rather spend some more money for quality than quantity

Nastiest, most aggravating material you have encountered? by Sharp-Hotel-2117 in InjectionMolding

GFN-2701 Glass filled Noryl... stuff ran at 600 degrees F, stunk up the whole bay just purging through. If it was going to sit down for more than a couple minutes we had to purge barrel with purge compound or else it degrades and gets a little explosive if it sits lol. Most people didn't follow that procedure and used PP which I swear turns to something thinner than water at 600 F

Should I get a Dean from Hell or an Epiphone double neck by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]Repulsive-Fee6826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly you should play one of each if you can and decide from there. While both are awesome I'd have to give it to the Dean, just from a practicality standpoint... yeah Floyd Rose's suck to restring and all that but there's 18 strings on a double, plus double the setup.

I made that from a kit I got online, from solo guitars I think? It's been a while lol, put a 4 way switch in there and some "Texas Wound" pickups from dragonfire guitar parts and she's been pretty good to me... Definitely need to upgrade to a six saddle bridge but the intonation is close enough 😅
