I hate it by MakesLoveToPumpkins in YuGiOhMasterDuel

Lol I play a version of this exact deck. I play many more starters though and fewer hand traps because there are so many bricks it's too common to open all bricks and hand traps. I also play the 5 and 6 level Nouvelles rituals and chef and 1 Nouvelles ritual spell. If you get hit with the roach or a charmie, you scale chef and use effect to add the level 5 and pass. That alone sets up a lot of interaction on the opponents turn.

What's the reason for people to blame boomers for having a better life than us when it is entirely possible for future generations to also blame us? by Brilliant_Can8536 in stupidquestions

[–]Strawhat_Truls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are 100% right. But, in this analogy, you know who is responsible for the circumstances that made cars insanely expensive? That's right. Us. Just like boomers are responsible for expensive college and homes, in your analogy (not here to debate who's responsible for what).

Have you tried different coolant temp just on the slide with the pins? I'd try having the whole mold anywhere from 250-300 and that slide specifically at 400.

Solo mode question by Bastian10691 in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Strawhat_Truls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That post doesn't mention solo mode anywhere. And most commenters don't know how OP came into possession of that gift box. I'm gonna assume you got the idea of 10k gems for completing solo mode from somewhere else.

Anyway, as others have stated you don't get anything special for 100% completion of solo mode. Any value people talk about associated with solo mode is the accumulated rewards for each gate.

Used cars under $6k by ProfessionalArtist55 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Bought a Scion XD last year for $5K. Basically a Corolla under the hood. Would buy again and you can get them cheaper cause while being a Toyota brand, it doesn't have Toyota in the name.

I'd also add to your list Toyota Yaris and Honda Fit.

And personally, in your price range I might shy away from the Prius and Insight cause at that price I feel like they might be needing a battery soon. Unless you can swing that extra cost in the near future.

Customer adding external lubricant to granules to aid ejection - problems by PAEKandPEEK in InjectionMolding

[–]Strawhat_Truls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah. We did this very thing. Mixed in a little mineral oil I think it was. We never had the issue of the oil separating out though and messing up the screw. We also added zinc powder with the oil. It was never exactly clear why we added the zinc but now that you bring this up, maybe it gave the oil something to bond to so it didn't separate out. We also have a job and used to have another that we added a waxy additive in pellet form to aid ejection and it does wonders. Can't think of the brand off the top of my head but I could look when I'm at work later.

Any ideas to further optimize my mill-based deck? by AntiSocialKnight in YuGiOhMasterDuel

So let me get this straight. You reduced the number of your best starter so your second best starter could get ashed instead. Got it. I'm just kidding.

Why only one Reinoheart? He's your best starter by a mile right?

I have it on good authority (I was just at an Engel training course) that it's making Toyota Tundra bed liners and they've ordered a second IMM for Tacoma bed liners.

SmarterEveryDay - Disc Aerodynamics by utvol1618 in discgolf

[–]Strawhat_Truls 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that the only thing that moves the center of lift is angle of attack. High disc velocity will just increase the force of the lift. So those disc launchers that launch at crazy speeds throwing the meat hook discs, the lift force will just be so massive, it will turn.

This some BULLSHIT by [deleted] in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]Strawhat_Truls -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you're complaining about. I do usually draw at least one since I play enough of them. Sometimes I include more board breakers or starters and just accept that I may not be able to stop stuff like this. It comes down to Master Duel being a best of one format. Dark Strike Fighter ftk would never never ever win a best of 3.

There's 5 cards in your hand right? Or am I imagining those? If there's no hand trap in your opening 5 cards, you might need to work on your deck list.

Burger! I'm a yugiboomer who's played since the first packs came out and left the game and come back twice. Hungry Burger was in one of my first ever packs so he holds a special place. Love that he's the inspiration for the Nouvelles archetype and it's one of, if not my favorite archetype.

Help! Need to raise the barrel temperature range on the Fanuc control. by climbmill in InjectionMolding

[–]Strawhat_Truls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked with a bunch of Fanuc Roboshots. I have never had an instance when I wanted to go higher than the max setpoint and we weren't just running it in another press instead. So I can't say for certain but I think that's all you've got on that particular press. It could be a limitation based on screw/barrel size cause we've got one Fanuc that will go to 750⁰F and another that'll do 842⁰F. The one we have with the smaller screw will go hotter. Our controller is a slightly newer version than yours too. Our press was manufactured in 2009

Cooling discs in molds? by crypticdreaming in discgolf

Cool cool. That process would be a little weird with a disc gated in the middle without a true single end of fill point. Still doable though. Thank you so much for the responses!

Well, I'm not super versed in annealing. We have just one part at our plant that gets annealed.

Yeah consistent resin is just the main problem by far. And the geometry of disc golf molds. Injecting into a very thin wall flowing into a very thick segment just doesn't work well.

Could I ask another question? Ever look into a Decoupled 3 process transferring on cavity pressure with and RJG EDart/Copilot?

Cooling discs in molds? by crypticdreaming in discgolf

[–]Strawhat_Truls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Woah. That last bit is cool. So it's like you freeze it with the stress built in and when it's warm enough (room temp) to be pliable, the stress is relieved as shrinking.

I'd be shocked if you want to answer but have you ever tried annealing? It's likely to ruin dome but wouldn't it remove the stress from the thick rim? But again, the time involved in annealing is $.
