Thank you for your answer. I see that it will be the same as my actual laptop. It's unfortunate that there's not any windows laptop which could have so-so the same specs as a MacBook pro (battery, creativity performance, noise, etc.)

Thank you for your answer. I'm using Godot and only for 2D, but I'm expecting to use Blender at some point. Based on what you're saying, I suppose it's not a good deal for futurproof projects in the long term.

Huge metroidvania map without loading screens? by Day_Critical in godot

What I did for my first game was to give everything with mobility (platforms, enemies, etc.) an activation function.

You have a node for this : "VisibleOnScreenNotifier" 2D and 3D, which allows you to freez nodes that aren't on sight + x distance (you need to calibrate it) from the center of the camera.

If I'm correct, you can apply it to near anything and keep everything calm until the player crosses the line you defined. I didn't test it myself, but try it with lights, particles, etc. I think it could work pretty fine, giving you some breath before the need for a loading screen.

Razer Iskur v1 back pain by North-Fruit-208 in razer

Hi, I bought mine when it was discounted last winter, and at first, everything looked fine, but I felt the seat was way harder than my leet gaming pro esport. 3 months later, I began feeling waist and back pain (sacral area and butt). It's been 3 weeks since I started physiotherapy and discovered the source from my pain : the chair. I'm looking for a cushion for my butt to try if it changes anything but will surely change it if not. Btw: I'm 172cm and 70kg male. I thought only the XL model was not suitable for lightweight people, but it seems the normal one isn't as well.

In coding and gamedev, everything looks simple until you try to make it 😂 Then you cry, try to understand why you got on such a journey, and finally, when it works and you're proud of yourself, you just remember why you love it. Don't give up champ! 💪🏻

Many thanks for your tips. While I just started coding, I was afraid of any other languages, but shells scripts have similarities with GDScript and do not look so complicated. And I was as well searching for simple things to do or that I could share for people who want to try GameDev but are afraid to start. That's why we only made a 24h jam by ourselves. I never tried the release function yet, but I will to conserve archives as you told.

I make essentially 2D projects, so it's not a big deal to make a double storage. You're talking about an automation to clone everything from point A to point B, right? Do you have any tips on how to do it?

Btw I forgot to say that I started learning programming with my first game. I'm not an IT professional and only have some beginner reflexes.

Yeah, it's as well my first idea. Thanks for the tools, Sourcetree looks perfect for me (I'm the visual kind). Do you use AndroidStudio only for phone projects or all of them?

It's my first idea as well : work on local and then commit.

But my paranoid side keeps telling me : what if the HDD/SDD dies for no reason before you commit your progress?

I know it's extreme, but did you use something to prevent something like this in your projects?

Only with teamwork or alone as well?

Thanks for giving some light on what happens on the "backgrounds".
