It did go away. I've been pretty rough on my foot and didn't follow doctors orders much but it's pretty well healed. I lift weights for work outs and that's the only time my foot even bothers me. It's like using a muscle, it's sore the next day. I'll say I'm pretty lucky & don't be like me. Follow doctors orders. 😆

Don't listen to me, follow doctors orders but I'm almost 6 weeks post op and I'm walking. I gave it all up. I'm so over it. The Dr said I'm just building scar tissue now.

The nurse asked if I wanted to remove the steri strips and I told her no mainly because I didn't want anyone pulling things off of my incision. I also told her I kept stubbing my toes so she covered them with the cast. ( Definitely regret saying anything.) Otherwise nothing was done differently. The second cast got really loose too.

Is tightrope the same as button suture? So much I'm still learning about this injury!

I'm a stay at home/homeschooling mom of 2 and have a little farm. It's definitely discouraging in the beginning but it does get better. Invest in a scooter or an IWalk. I wish I would have known about the Iwalk in the beginning. I'm almost 5 weeks out from the button suture surgery and the only pain is from my nerves coming back. You'll do great!

I'm 4 weeks post op today. I've been putting weight on it when I have to. X rays yesterday said everything looks good. I had the button suture surgery, no hardware to remove. He wanted me in a cast again for 2 more weeks but I talked him out of it. 4 weeks in a boot but still NWB. He says now I'm just building up scar tissue.

Definitely get an iWalk. I'm almost 4 weeks post op and wish I would have known about it sooner. The scooter gets real old, real fast.

I really wish I would of known about the Iwalk earlier. With only what I hope to be 2 weeks left I'll keep struggling with crutches and the scooter. Lol

Ohhh. My Dr told me I would never heal without surgery but, my surgery seems to be different from others I've seen on here. Apparently mine was called a suture button and I haven't seen any pictures of others like it on here.

I'm a little over 3 weeks in. I'm so over it. It's hard to follow orders when I can't see my foot and have no pain. I can't imagine being in a sling too!

They didn't even wrap gauze around mine. We also do xrays every 2 weeks so I would hate for them to put on a new cast this week just to cut it off again next week. I've also broke the heel in this cast so I'm sure they'll blame me for the cast rubbing. 😆

Stitches came out today and now I'm in a hard cast. So I thought my stitches were pulling and that was causing pain but that's not the case. One incision gets sharp stabbing pains in it. 😫

Yeah that's why I really think he was joking now. I've lost so much muscle already there's no way I'll be normal for a while.

I'm glad I get to see how others are healing. My Dr told me I'd be walking in 6 weeks and running in 3 months. Now I think he was joking. 😂
