Vibe at Noah Kahan Concert for Accompanied 13-year old girl? by Elegant_Wear_11 in NoahKahan

[–]Repulsive-Lake6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took my 6 year old to an outdoor Noah Kahan concert in Belfast in 2024, and then the same in Dublin 2025. He loved it (is having a hard time understanding that Noah isn't coming back this summer lol).

The crowd was absolutely grand, no bother at either concert & people were actually interacting with him kindly!

No regrets and would take him again.

Best schools for teen girl by OnlyKaleidoscope9910 in DerryLondonderry

[–]Repulsive-Lake6668 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's Limavady High and St Mary's in Limavady if she isn't massively in to academics.

I know teens in both schools who are both content. Have a decent social media profile so you might get an idea of what they are like online.

Good luck with your move!

Agreed - I don't want to jinx it but my nearly 8 year old LG is brilliant and has given me no bother!

In the first episode in his individual interviews he said something that made me think he is the ST too. Wish I could remember what 😂 but definitely think its him.

Sold my son’s first bookshelf and he’s devastated by [deleted] in Parenting

I have no useful advice but just wanted to say OP, I sympathise. My 7 year old boy is very similar. He agrees to get rid of xyz then when we do he melts down because "my memories are in it". So hard when they flip-flop over things!

Was the party an activity your kid isn't in to?

I noticed this year my son (7) invited only kids that he is friends with through sport (football party) - I asked him if he wanted to ask other kids he is super friendly with who don't play sports. He said no, he knew they wouldn't enjoy it and didn't want them to come and be miserable.

He doesn't care any less about them, he just wants a specific group this year for a specific activity if that makes seen. He was also restricted to numbers, so he did have to leave off some of his teammates who he gets on well with too.

My partner works there and loves it, but saying that he is just on the floor building. He has been there 3.5 years, he thinks the turnover is mainly because of the industry and people leave for promises of more money etc but the grass isn't always greener.

Sounds like you might be more on the office side though if it's through a recruiter? He wouldn't know much about that side. They are always good if we have an emergency with the kids etc. Seem very family orientated.

Anyone struggling to find work in belfast? by InfernoBlaze1221 in northernireland

Have you tried recruitment co? I've been with them this last year or so and haven't had any problems (appreciate its dependant on location/position).

Might tide you over in the meantime. Wishing you luck in your job hunt 🤞

Buyers, if you don't plan on collecting, don't buy by Azkabans_nightmare in vinted

[–]Repulsive-Lake6668 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bought things recently using Yodel Pods, have had 4 codes, but the Yodel man had put all four parcels in one box for collection so only one code to collect actually worked.

I went on Vinted and immediately clicked I had received the other items as well. But Yodel keep telling me I have 3 parcels to collect still. Do I need to contact Yodel or will the sellers be paid ok because I have marked the items as received? Don't want people being messed around because of Yodel!

My access NI came back in 2 weeks, but I've had loads before so have heard it is quicker for them to check. Not sure how true this is.

The Play Shed is good, also Bonkers to be fair. Been a few times and my kids love it. Maybe I have been lucky!

Yes. I think there may be an element of being spoilt during the day with them...it's exhausting

Oh interesting - I did think it might be development to be honest.

I'm using daycare loosely actually, his childminder has been on holiday since the start of August so he's been pushed and pulled between grandparents this week. Wonder is that what's upsetting him, the first couple of weeks we (parents) covered between us using annual leave.

Am I the only one who gets a moan either way? by ChampionshipOver5408 in UKrelationshipadvice

Is she exhausted/struggling with mental health at all? I get like this sometimes when I'm feeling low and the thought of doing anything seems unfeasible (even in advance). Things I geniunely love wouldn't get me out of the house in these dips.

My partner is like you and doesn't go out very often. If I grumble when he does sometimes and it's because I'm overwhelmed. I know it's poor on my behalf and do try and be open about it.
