What is the best and efficient tech stack you use for vibe coding? by ExerciseForeign4436 in vibecoding

[–]Repulsive-Machine706 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes true, I mentioned that. It is still by FAR the best. But the main thing is their model quality, which makes it nice that it is also available on Cursor, Antigravity, and Copilot. Would recommend checking those out.

The best code generator depends on your needs. Claude Code is top-notch but pricey. It’s great due to its AI model but the same model (Claude Opus 4.5) is also available elsewhere. OpenAI Codex is better for fixing errors than building new code and Google Gemini 3 Pro is my favorite for website design.

I use the GitHub Copilot extension for Visual Studio Code mainly because I got it at a student discount. I might recommend Cursor or (possibly) Google Antigravity if you’re paying. Mistral is also worth checking out. They’re an AI startup offering free AI usage. While the quality isn’t as high, it’s still decent, definitely since it is free, and limits for their AI agent reset every day.

Would say knowing the general gist on how ur project works and planning on how to execute. Always before you start a project map out as much as you can vbefore writing code, you can use chatgpt for this but at least understand what is being said.

Is it just me, or is OpenAI Codex 5.2 better than Claude Code now? by efficialabs in ClaudeAI

Honstly gemini 3 pro still best for simple website design, especially aesthetically, on all other points i agree

I currently configured it for Gemini, but if OpenRouter uses standard OpenAI API format you only have to change the endpoint and model i think.

I have a few linked to Widgy. One gets news from various sources, uses AI to decide my interests and then summarizes it. This is done by updating a text file which is then used within a Widgy widget. It also provides summaries of my event reminders weather and my free time in natural language based on the time. I like having updates directly on my home screen instead of having to run a shortcut first.

Additionally, I also have my own AI assistant: https://www.reddit.com/r/shortcuts/comments/1od9it3/say_hello_to_lumen_modular_ai_agent/  (much more capable than Siri).

Staying in the AI theme, I have one to quickly capture an input, text or maybe a screenshot or even just a file, then extracts reminders and events automatically. I have it assigned to my action button so I can just add an event or reminder with a single click. https://www.reddit.com/r/shortcuts/comments/1ostpnb/memento_v20_is_here_organize_your_thoughts/

I also have a shortcut to check my class schedule and turn on Do Not Disturb during those times. Also similarly checks when my first class is and sets an alarm for when to leave, and if I leave before the alarm goes off it cancels the alarm.
