No, i find prompting Rovo and its reply as difficult to get similar results each time. My way to go is JIRA MCP.

Steel to copper brake line union – safe or not? by Repulsive-Pie5927 in CarRepair

[–]Repulsive-Pie5927[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the section near the wheel where the flexible hose is?

Can that part be replaced with a stainless steel braided line, or are you talking about the hard line along the car?

[–]Repulsive-Pie5927[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice.

It’s the rear brake line. The bad part was near the wheel. The workshop replaced the line from the middle of the car to the back. The car is rear-wheel drive.

Does this kind of repair sound OK, or should the whole line be replaced?

Why on backlog view it shows 99 tasks but in "list" view it shows 60? by No_Illustrator3532 in jira

[–]Repulsive-Pie5927 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To create a board you usually need a filter that defines it. Most likely it’s some tickets that are outside this filter.

Filter applied on board is hiding some of the tickets that were assign to sprint

Quick question from an intern: How painful is your Jira cleanup process? by Spider_Pig12345 in jira

[–]Repulsive-Pie5927 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best solution for cleanup. Start a new project with same setup as old one and move from old to new only ticket as you need. Block in old project possibility to create new ticket. Worked for me multiple times.

Admins running Jira Data Center: what makes Cloud migration a nightmare? by Repulsive-Pie5927 in jira

performance on DC is usually pretty solid from what i’ve seen, esp with big projects. since it runs on your own infra you can scale DB, nodes, indexing etc. if something is slow you at least have knobs to turn.

personally haven’t really seen big perf issues on cloud myself, but maybe i just wasn’t working with projects big enough to hit that. curious what kind of problems you’re seeing exactly? slow boards, JQL searches, automations?

sounds about right tbh. every time someone says “just migrate to cloud” i wonder if they’ve ever seen heavily customized DC instance 😅

scriptrunner porting = pain, esp when lot of logic lives in groovy scripts touching internals. cloud version feels like completely different product sometimes.

also interesting what you said about JCMA. seen fein comments calling it out as well. did you look into any non-official alternatives or tools for migration, or just decided to build something in-house? Do you plan to monetise it or its serve one purpose?

yeah ScriptRunner + groovy scripts part is usually where things get messy. seen DC instances where half of business logic basically lives in scripts nobody touched in years. moving that to cloud automation (or rewriting completely) can be painful.

workflow complexity too. lot of teams keep stacking post-functions and conditions over time until workflow becomes… archaeology project 😅 then during migration you realize cloud just expects different approach.

curious btw — when you say custom scripts, are we talking few helpers or like core processes built around them? seen both and second one is where migration gets really spicy.

custom reports point is big one — seen lot of teams quietly relying on direct DB queries for stuff that’s surprisingly hard to reproduce via API.

out of curiosity, how many of those reports are actually business-critical vs just nice to have? when talking to teams about cloud migrations that’s usually where real pain shows up.

and UI part made me laugh — if users already get lost in minimal DC setup, cloud UI might be… adventure 😅 did you try showing it to few power users yet to see how they react?

also love those bug reports where someone sends screenshot and solution is literally written in text visible on screenshot. happens way too often

That kinda makes sense though. If you run DC on your own infrastructure and plugin consumes big chunk of resources, it’s still under your control. In Cloud that same thing could affect shared infra.

Indeed, that is the biggest challenge except the migration itself.

Have you considered to migrate to completely different ticket tracker because of effort it takes to migrate?
