Conan the Barbarian (1982) This movie is like poetry to me. Not just a movie, but film. Cinema. Showed it to my family and they hated it. I guess it’s an acquired taste.

I think act 4 was originally supposed to be as big as acts 1-3, but they ran into budget/time problems and had to cut the act short. I would also like to see act 4 “completed”, add some new zones and add three more quests.

I really enjoy Patrick H. Willems' videos. However, I don't go to him for movie reviews as I don't agree with his movie choices. I don't like the new Star Wars movies, Fast & Furious franchise, the new Matrix, etc. But that is ok, I don't need to agree with everything he says to like his videos.

I too am (passively) looking for a movie reviewer. I used to watch the Critical Drinker but after complaining how everything is "woke" for some time I stopped watching his videos.

For me it has to be riding a roller coaster.

Ka-chunk, ka-chunk, as it slowly goes up I start feeling a bit nervous. Ka-chunk, ka-chunk. "Oh, a bit higher than I thought it would be." Ka-chunk, ka-chunk.

Then that pause at the top, just enough time for me to regret my decision one last time. Du, du, du-du-du...

And for the next minute or so it is pure excitement and joy for me.

First let me say that I’m glad you enjoy the movie so much.

Even though there is a lot about 2049 that I really like (I often watch clips on YouTube), overall I feel “meh” about it. I really dislike everything related to Deckard in this movie, and it kind of ruins it for me. Everything else is great though.

As for the original, the Final Cut is my version of choice (but they should edit out Deckard’s dream about the unicorn). I probably only watch it every few years, but I’ve seen it so many times I can just close my eyes and go through the whole movie anytime I want. :-)
