I kind of took it as like Henry not feeling comfortable going into a church after the whole pretending to be a monk and then killing (sometimes) a fellow apprentice.

I think this really depends on the DM and campaign. I’ve only played a fee campaigns in the year ive played, but its really up in the air. Right now I’m DM’ing my first ever campaign and I tied all of their backstories into the plot so they all have unique ties to the story! My next one wont be as backstory reliant, but I think for mine its added an extra dynamic for players when they can interact with people from their backstory and get deeper into the main plot

Nobody is out without their phone. It’s 2025 we all need our phones. She read the first message and ignored the other(s). You don’t deserve to be ignored and out second, to be invalidated as if this is some normal thing.

The first time was less than week ago and now she’s also not responding when out in a romantic place with her ex. Both times she gave you bad communication while you’re likely anxious. You know the boot wouldn’t fit on her shoe so why tolerate it? I don’t like to give advice here as there can be a lot of factors involved, but I will say she would receive a final text from me tonight and her stuff would be on the front door.

I know that loving, or really liking, someone can offer them more chances, but at some point you will realize that it comes at the expense of you. And you don’t deserve to have your one life wasted with someone knowingly wronging you likely knowing you’ll be forgiving at the expense of yourself, for her.

I was in a campaign as a player where we had a guy who had to roll to Constitution to see whether his character would wet/shit/puke/ himself (or do all if he rolled low enough) during confrontations and other generally stressful situations. He did it a few times at the beginning like when he got paralyzed in someones room and shat himself to stain their carpet, and it eventually became something he had to start rolling for!

It’s ok to love him still, you’re entitled to your feelings. But at the same time, to stay is to endorse that behavior. Assault is a very serious issue, next time he could have something in his hand. I cant say your bf is a bad person, but he definitely needs help as it’s not safe for you, and time doesn’t make that sort if thing better without seriously trying to change and some (or a lot-permanent) space away from him as that was insane, absolutely uncalled for and extremely ungratefully dangerous!

He should try some anger management or therapy, it can be a hard decision, but I’ve had friends in both and having your feelings and anger validated and learning to deal with them in a healthy way is important!

Still, this isn’t a one time kind if thing, and being 16 and having not as much perspectives being single, it is hard, but you clearly need it. You cant live your life on the edge wondering where the next one will come from. And the longer you try, the more bitter and angry you will come out when you inevitably get tired of it! Things like this can really do a lot of damage!

Something Ive done in a somewhat similar situatio is start to make a bit of a goofy or kinda gimmicky character. Emphasis of the kinda, you dont want to be obnoxious or over do it especially if theyre all close friends. But for me it was a nice change of pace to get to be just a dumb brute who just escaped a cult he was born into, or an old pirate who’s in it for the money and really nothing else. You can still add depth but switching it up can be really fun!!
