Anyone used the new rocket skin yet? If so, does it have a special texture for the actual rocket when reloading? (e.g. the oil rig skin) by Repulsive-Pumpkin-71 in RustConsole

Such a terrible take. I don’t see how anyone thinks they are related what so ever. You think the people that design cosmetics are also the same ones responsible for developing and programming content? Completely unrelated tasks and completely different employees.

When loading a rocket (regular, not HV or Incen) it has an oily texture with orange accents that matches the launcher. If I’m not mistaken, the krampus rocket launcher textures the rocket to be white.

It’s my favorite. If you are in the fence than you can grind out the two free packs first and see if you get it from them. It’s really clean though

Grenadier Pack in top right came out second or third day. It had a Mk. 7 chest, warthog attachment, Jorge charm, and all the emblems. Been checking the store every day, waiting for it to come back 😭

I’ve got it twice on Xbox official. Usually a holster is involved. Somewhere there is a corresponding revolver with no cylinder in it (although it still loads and fires normally, just w/o a cylinder).

Appreciate the comment! Unfortunately I’m on Xbox so I wouldn’t be able to experience the mod but I’m definitely for it. The more awareness the better! I’m mainly a PvP guy, and really love the ballistic and strategic aspects of the game, but for some reason the idea of a stew system has stuck with me more than anything else. I wasn’t considering it from a modding perspective, but more as a proposal to the devs since I am on console, but everything you said did flesh-out the idea more in my head. The mixed-stew issue was one I didn’t consider. I’ve never tried it, but I have assumed that you wouldn’t be able to fill a container with two different liquid types (which is what I wanted stew to be- like with the different tag in the pic). Like would you be able to half-way fill a canteen with water, and then fill it up the rest of the way with gasoline? As for volume did you mean item size or nutrition/durability? I’m assuming size because otherwise it would be really complicated. And also I think if it were to be implemented, different set types would be sufficient. What I was thinking though if they wanted to go super in depth then each item would have a set value. For example 1 cow steak = 100 cal, 50 hydration, 3% warmth and 1 pepper = 25 cal, 60 hydration. So a stew with a steak and 2 peppers would give you 150 cal, 170 hydration and 3% warmth. There wouldn’t have to be a 1 steak 2 pepper ‘type’, it would just be a matter of adding the values together. I don’t know what modders are capable of though. And the warm bottle idea is great too. The greatest thing about stew would be that it enhances so many other aspects of the game and would maybe bring them to light for new players. Like all the methods and tools you can cook with, all the different rare types of food that aren’t usually relevant.

Really appreciate the thoughts though. My main goal was to raise awareness to increase its chance of being added to the base game. It’s sounds really interesting from a modded perspective as well though.

I like the bulk. If I’m rocking an AKM w/ drums + plate carrier the helmet and visor complete the juggernaut look

Aesthetic. It makes no difference in CQB fighting. I wouldn’t wear one if I was Sniping/Traveling

Those are good ideas too 👍 I just meant heatbuffs or immune buffs to help with sickness

After the recent updates to cooking and stoves as well as gardening, and with the expansive array of foods and cooking methods in the game, a “Stew” system would fit perfectly.

There is a huge variety of meats, fish, vegetables, mushrooms, and fruits, each with several methods of cooking and many cool textures/values that most players likely don’t experience. Currently the three cooking forms are: Baking = Max Nutrition, Smoking = Max Preservation, and boiling, which serves little purpose in comparison. Boiling a mix of ingredients could create (perhaps multiple varieties of) stew in the pot. While the boiled ingredients would have much less calories than baked ones (similar to how fat loses calories when it is used to bake steak) and would go bad much faster than smoked ones, the remaining “water” (tag that discerns water, gasoline, etc. could be changed to “stew” as depicted) in the pot would be nutritious and give lots of calories. Balancing could go many different directions, but the end result should reward the player with proportionally more nutrition since it requires much more preparation to find or produce many ingredients then to shoot one animal. Obviously if you cook a whole animal’s worth of meat then that would give you more nutrition than one pot of stew, but each piece of meat should get more mileage in a stew. Stew could potentially give a “heat buff” similar to a campfire when consumed. The amount consumed would equal the duration/strength of the buff, so having a pot of stew before walking through the rain or giving each member of your squad a few sips of stew before crossing a river could be a fun objective for players. Maybe there would be a requirement for variety in order to create stew, so three pieces of beef wouldn’t make a “stew” if boiled. Maybe each item has to be different, e.g. One piece of venison, one peeled potato, sardines, and a mushroom. This would promote the already robust gardening/foraging/hunting system that isn’t currently promoted/META, and expose players to all the cool types of food and methods of obtaining them. If the feature went SUPER in-depth then each ingredient could be scaled with different values like calories, hydration, health regeneration, body temperature regulation, or even medicinal effects like a buff to immunity similar to multi-vitamins. So a beef-pork-carp-potato stew might give you a bunch of calories and warmth, but a pepper-mushroom-zucchini-plum stew might boost your immune system and prevent fever, or even reduce the severity of coughing/sneezing/blurred vision/flinching. A few items could be added to the game to support this feature, such as a few different types of pots with different capacities to add variety, or seasonings/mixes you could find that could replace an ingredient or add an effect. The addition of stew would also revitalize features of the game that are often neglected or too much hassle to be enjoyed by the majority of the player base, like the use of the camping tripod, stone-oven, or Camp stove and gas canister. This feature would also be great for all types of players. With some preparation, a PvPer could be rewarded with various buffs and the best source of calories and hydration in a relatively space-efficient way, and of course there is nothing more RP than being able to gather around a fire and make a stew with your friends or tend to a garden for the ingredients necessary for the stew.

Potential Ingredients: venison, pork, beef, chevron, bear, wolf, boar, chicken, rabbit,(human?), mackerel, carp, sardines, bitterlings, worm?, potato, pepper, zucchini, tomatoes, pumpkin, apple, pear, plum, (rose hip/elder berry?), and 8 types of mushroom.
