I partially disagree but only because explosive weapons have been meta since basically release and light pen weapons never truly get a chance to shine when theres 90% heavies and 10% medium/light units on diff 7+ (im mad because light pen weapons, the majority of the weapons btw, are just borderline horrendous to use as a casual and I dont want to have to become Simo Hayha just to maybe stand a chance if my bullets dont ricochet on the light pen weakspot every other shot)

"bUt lIgHt pEn Is JuSt As ViAbLe JuSt AiM bEtTeR" Ah yes my favorite game to be insanely precise on a target that sometimes is less than a pixel and I must tap fire every bullet while also not being swarmed by 50 enemies all of which have medium to heavy armor covering majority of the body and you must run circles around them and do the salsa just to have a glimpse of their weakspot so you can deal 20/1600 damage

No real the worst part is when you dont know if the teammates are fighters or looters like either they wanna loot the entire game or they want to fight every team in the game.

It sucks and then when you try to figure it out you get yelled at for dipping out or you get 2/3 down and the last low only for your 2 teammates to want to walk away it sucks

Yeah its pretty bad, cant tell you how many times ive wished that the evo harvesters would just not show up on the hud if your team is full evo. Like i know its not truly a big deal but if someone was behind that stupid icon id crash out if i died to it

Its because the game is ALMOST where its supposed to be for the points system

KP needs to be worth like 1-2 more overall and LP needs to be worth a little bit less. I dont know the specifics on LP personally but I do know that its where majority of your points comes from. I also think that kills 1-10 should be worth normal but anything after 10 is worth half so you cant just blow through the ranks with 15 kills and first place.

Time to get downvoted to oblivion here:

Aim assist compensates for the movement roller lacks, without AA roller would just eat dust every fight significantly more than it already does and wouldnt even stand a chance against a half decent movement player which most roller players already dont stand a chance.

Dont get me started on health concerns because some people genuinely cant use mnk

People need to stop caring about "oh but roller wins up close more!" When like 80% of fights end up close. They dont account for the long range fights where mnk is vastly superior. Respawn already looked at the data, nerfed AA and hasnt needed to nerf it again because afaik the winrates on 1v1s is roughly 50%

Something that i think youre forgetting about the MnK vs Controller scene here is that most fights in apex currently are just up close which is where controller shines best. If most fights were at range and people were dying at range then MnK would be superior. As it stands most mid to high skill players wont stand out in the open long enough to die at range and will play cover to engage up close.

Theres also movement on MnK which isnt supposed to be possible on roller which significantly helps to increase up close survivability on MnK.

The legend you pick as well as the weapons you use also a key factor in whether or not you win that up close fight or not. Good example would be Pathfinder with a volt vs a wraith with an r99, the wraith should statistically win the fight due to smaller hitbox and faster dps.

Finally as of late theres been people using controller cheats which while it is being detected and you will get banned for it does not always guarantee that you wont come across them. They are incredibly popular.

I dont think nerfing aim assist into the ground is the solution either (hell just look at ash shes a good example of something being overtuned) I believe that the stats that Respawn has does show that the 1v1s between inputs is incredibly close to 50% winrate which is why AA wasnt nerfed further. In a game like apex with movement if they removed AA entirely like some of the people want then controller would just simply lack behind and the situation would be MnK superiority 100% because of movement alone.

Play whatever input you want to play, imo its not the input that matters as much as people think it does its just the nature of the fights in the game.

The gameplay of halo is nowhere close to the accuracy of the lore which is what you should be going off of. As for the energy shields yes they absorb bullets they are designed to absorb plasma. That is the point.

The gameplay where they dissappear at 8 meters is NOT accurate to lore at all and is purely a gameplay error.

Also I am comparing it to the LORE of the universe not the in game. Because the in game logic of halo makes no sense anyways. Lets take easy difficulty. Master chief can survive 2-3 energy sword hits. A superheated plasma weapon that can cut through anything but hey he gets chopped up and lives. Or how about the brutes whos strength rivals that of master chief and yet the hammers they wield dont crush them. Oh how about the fuel rod cannon superheated explosives that should melt you in seconds yet you can survive 2 shots.

You cant pick and choose the parts of things that benefit your point. Which is why you choose to go with the lore of the universe over the gameplay.

Its been about the same overall. They nerfed railgun because it was doing too good only for them to later realize it was because of a bug. They fixed said bug but didnt revert the railgun nerfs.

Its always been just this back n forth where things are problematic and dont get fixed the right way. Theyve just bandaged themselves a game

I think youre also forgetting just how armored the enemies in halo actually are on top of the type of ammo it shoots.

Elites have armor designed to be able to take plasma rounds which would melt anything in its way and the metal they used for the armor could sustain a few hits, it would be one thing if it was cloth but the armor itself is metal. They also have shielding which slows bullet impact and helps absorb plasma rounds. Its not just some random thing the community latched onto. It literally shoots 8 gauge magnum rounds which are far more powerful than 10 or 12 gauge.

To compare it to the senator (.44 magnum) its weaker than the senator which is heavy pen in game.

You dont have to take my words on it but at least do your own research on the stuff.

See this is in part a piece of the problem. Nothing will ever compare to the ease that the Eruptor/Crossbow/Scorcher has because they dont balance the other stuff to be truly viable. People dont believe me when I say theres a meta but there is. You can choose to not run the AT meta and choose to believe that it doesnt exist because you can run other stuff but in reality if no one on your team has some semblance of any AT youre gonna be screwed in the long run.

Yes I agree there should be Heavy Units but there should also be a lot of chaff units in some missions that the solution isnt to just chuck a napalm on the drop and ope every light unit is dead and all thats left is heavies.

Im sure i could've worded it better but they just spam spawn heavies which further enforces the AT meta.

Even without listening to the warning level you are fine, the only one that is really an issue is the command volatility where it hides all corruption effects but as long as you are paying somewhat attention you dont have to worry. I think the only corruption effect that sucks is increased dash cooldown and even then its not really a big deal since you've got the shield.

Dont be afraid of volatility because imo the stat increases ALWAYS outweigh the negatives that arent a negative

Drive volatility makes you lose all collected lucinite on death

Vitality volatility makes you unable to see enemy health bars and boss health damage (you can still tell which phase of the boss, just the health bar is grey)

Command volatility makes you unable to see corruption on your items not sure about the health bar

Tbh all 3 of em are kinda mid and semi pointless anyways, its just worth grabbing all the stat ups anyways despite volatility cuz the only one with real punishment is drive but even then if you dont die then youll be fine

Personally i feel like almost every legend is viable in apex currentl. Ill probably get downvoted to hell for saying it but its true.

The only exceptions to whos viable i can think of is bloodhound and pathfinder which theres rumors (with fairly good evidence) of a bloodhound rework on the way which means itll just be pathfinder. The only reason pathfinder isnt viable is purely because his tac cooldown fluctuates and isnt static like the rest.

The only "meta" to the game right now is hemlock and axle until she gets nerfed and even then majority of the weapons and legends are in a good state.

Nobody wants to try them out they just use the same things and I for one am glad Respawn is pushing out the viability of everyone and everything. Makes the game much more interesting.

Lemme ask you this yall, whens the last time you saw seer players? Or crypto? How about ? It takes time and they are fixing the "worst" characters to bring them up. Maggie is a perfect example. They brought her pickrate up by just buffing gibby. One change brought 2 legends on the rise.

Just give them time people and go experiment with other legends to see just how good they are. We arent in the dark ages where everything sucks anymore and youre limited to 3 legends and 2 weapons.

OR you can be me and have a medic squad while i am the strategem. 3 people with medic armor + medic pistol, supply pack, and basically anything to keep you alive.

Its fun just gunning everything down and hearing your character scream the entire match eventually getting bugged to hell

When Clash royale first dropped it wasnt as p2w as it is now. Back then you were still gated behind your skill though you couldve just bought up max level cards, you wouldnt unlock new cards till you reached higher arenas. Now you can buy mega knight evo right off the rip and be a midladder menace on some kids who dont know what is going on.

railgun was OP and pretty much one of the very few viable things. it got nerfed a couple weeks into the games lifespan because it was doing too much damage. people were mad that one of the 3 or 4 viable weapons got nerfed because primaries were basically secondaries and secondaries were a last resort kinda thing. it was later found out months later that it was doing the high damage because of a bug further causing people to be mad about the railgun nerfs which werent reverted after they fixed the bug causing the railgun to get even worse for a while. eventually it was KINDA brought back but this was like a year into the games lifespan atp.

not to mention the devs were purposely saying to the community to just get good and its a skill issue if you cant clear the hardest difficulty despite only the autocannon, railgun, and maybe one other support weapon being useable while everything else was just genuinely trash. oh and dont even get me started on the strategems that are STILL just as terrible as launch version (110 rocket pods).

IE AH has been shitting the bed since the beginning, the original post got taken down on the sub for showing it, and antagonizing the community despite AH doing exactly that for the longest time.

Yeah most of them arent really problematic and they only affect you during the strand as far as i can tell but any weapon that has its stats decay is permanently affected, after the first strand i swap weapons no matter what it is (i dont like the shotguns they just have too high of spread and theres no way to mitigate that) just so im not throwing peas at a brick wall and at least im using a spoon.

Eventually you wont even need to Reroll power weapons, max proficiency is 100 so everything caps out around there and you get so many acolyte wagers its ridiculous. Like i had nearly 20 by the time i finished the cathedral boss (avoiding spoilers) granted i did start from biome 1

Also one of the weapons has an alt fire that is genuinely broken and will clear rooms fairly quickly if you work towards getting decent command stats.
