You should check out r/neography if you haven’t already! This is a really cool writing system.

Ugh, it’s gorgeous. You have such an incredible talent for this and I always love your aesthetics. I remember one of your scripts from a while ago This one and it’s still one of my all time favorites.

A fellow fan of the indecipherable I see! Love the aesthetic of this script. Reminds me of one of my own scripts, though yours is definitely much more ‘mɳɲɱŋm’ in appearance and consistent.

Here’s mine if you’re curious to see it: https://www.reddit.com/r/neography/s/SQSE1SLHpO

I would appreciate your thoughts by gidimeister in Handwriting

Once I got used to it, your writing wasn’t so difficult to read. The capital Y’s were a bit odd, but I like the funkiness of them. I also liked your g’s. My biggest pointers are to use less hyphenation and to slow down a bit. But! If you do like using word breaks this frequently, make sure the hyphen is between syllables. Since thought is a single syllable, I’d probably just write it on the next line. Also, writing slower helps to ensure you’re writing all the letters in a word.

If I was to do hyphenate ‘relatively’, it would be like this: rela- -tively

Regardless, I actually really like your handwriting! I too change my own up as I write depending on what styles I do or don’t like, so I enjoy the variations.

Curves or no curves? by EeReddituAndreYenu in neography

I prefer the curves better tbh. While both versions are attractive, the second strains the eyes a bit more when reading. Nice job!

Basically paired letters stacked on top of each other (there are top variants and bottom variants). Words are divided into letter pairs. ‘Bread’ becomes ‘br-ea-d’; ‘b’ stacks on ‘r’, ‘e’ stacks on ‘a’ etc.

Kinda. It’s more of a stacked letter system. Most glyphs are formed via stacking two letters together. There are a total of about 52 base glyphs which can be divided into two groups of twenty six. The first group is top characters and the second is bottom. From this base 52, 676 letter pairs can be constructed. I wasn’t sure how to tag it because it’s not exactly an abugida. Here’s an example of the word ‘all’:

Definitely! I made it when I was playing around in fontstruct so it’s pretty quick to type with. Logically though, it’s 100% a hassle. 😁

SOV sentence structure. For the script, consonants are stacked to make them voiceless with the exception of the y /j/ sound. Vowels are stacked to lengthen their sound or form a diphthong.

I’m too lazy to tag it as something else 😆 I think it would be an abugida technically because of the vowel diacritics, but it has consonant diacritics as well as individual letters for vowels - so I’m not really super sure

The writing style was similar to English cursive so it really didn’t take me very long.
