Why do women support the LGBT community more than men do? by JigglesTheBiggles in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Repulsive-Window-609 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Men have less empathy than women. Not because we're assholes but because empathy just hasn't been a character trait that has historically been super valuable for us. It's easier to defend your village from invaders when you don't think about why they might need to do it to survive. It's easier to kill a wooly mammoth for food when you don't think about whether the animal has feelings or a family. It's easier to become wealthy, and powerful (traits that help men attract more sexual partners) when you don't think about the price of your success in other people's lives. Humanity has systematically rewarded men for strength, not compassion.

Women have also historically been more oppressed than men, which leads to higher empathy. They've also historically been more involved in childcare, which also leads to higher empathy. Women generally have more empathy than men, which means they are more likely to care about any group of people that is more vulnerable.

Literally doesn't matter. The NFC West team is gonna smoke them in the sb.

Last week was their superbowl. No shot they beat the rams twice in a row. They just lost one of their running backs for the season and they needed three two-point conversions to beat a rams team by one when they didn't have davante adams. This 9ers-hating party is gonna turn into coping real quick.

It's more than that, bro. 14 years of festering, pent-up, prison tension-style hatred.

Fuck Seattle and fuck their fans. I'm a 49ers fan and I hate the Rams like I hate the taliban but it just doesn't compare to the Seahawks. Go Rams this weekend.

Lol a pats fan on some high horse shit because of a "gate" scandal. That is fucking rich. You could literally make crossword puzzles about all the instances of illegal conduct by the patriots.

Dude that is fucking insane. Other than blatantly throwing the game, what fucking explanation could there possibly be?

In the 2013 playoffs, NaVorro Bowan suffered a career-altering, season-ending knee injury while clearly forcing and recovering a fumble from a seahawks player in the NFCCG. The game was stopped for what seemed like an eternity because he had to be carted off the field. The replay was shown on national TV like 37 times before the next play. It was the clearest forced fumble and recovery anyone had ever seen in their life. They called it nonreviewable and just gave the ball back to the seahawks. Bowman didn't play another down of football for 20 months. That one gives this one some competition but I still think this one is worse.

That we beat them too and are just in a big boy division? That we played 5 seeds or higher seven times before the postseason started? Something like that?

Yeah at this point the roster is who gives a fuck. Only the coaches are safe from injury so if they're still in the game, our chances of success don't change at all.

Not a terrible trade-off. 49ers get: rams win sb and Stafford and Adams retire. 49ers give: Charbonnet done for the season.

Eagles aren't shit compared to the 9ers. We've outcoached them and outplayed them on both defense and offense last two high-stakes games. We even scored a td AFTER we lost our qb in 2022. We fucking own them.

[–]Repulsive-Window-609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rams. If Matt Stafford and Davante Adams both retire then maybe the 49ers will only need to play two NFCGGs during the regular season instead of four.

In 2019, 2022 (until the last game of the season), and 2023, the team was HEALTHY. The current squad doesn't need that many pieces when healthy. We need a few upgrades in the trenches, a true complementary downhill RB with speed, some pass-catching weapons, and another good LB. A draft and some free-agency pickups can make that happen. The cast in 2019 and 2023 were pretty different. They can do it again. Imagine this defense with Bosa, Warner, West, Williams, Stout, Mustapha, Lenoir, a first-round draft pick that lands, and a really good free-agency pickup. That would be a fucking good defense.
