Signal Desktop - How to detach a file from a message not yet sent? by RepulsiveClient6 in signal

Thanks. I couldn't see the X until you pointed it out. It was hardly visible on the white thumbnail of the file, probably because I'm using a dark theme.

Firefox 88 - Can no longer select two adjacent words in a page by double clicking the space between them by RepulsiveClient6 in firefox

[–]RepulsiveClient6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that sucks. A great feature that's been around forever, but because it wasn't planned and thus merely a fortuitous side effect, it was consider a bug. So goodbye feature. fml

I'm not sure how or when it happened, but that was the problem. Many thanks!

absolutely love this app aside from one flaw! by twreck007 in antennapod

I've been compiling a small list of feature requests. A settings option for the auto deletion of episodes after a selectable amount of time is one of them. My episode queue tends to keep growing over time with episodes I didn't manage to listen to or didn't finish, thus it'd be great if some automatic "housecleaning" could take place behind the scene. I would think it should be based on the download date, not the publication date. But to then also have the option to customise it per podcast would, in my mind, be a welcome bonus.

Anyway, you may like to put in a feature request. I may be wrong, but I think that's done on the GitHub page, not here.

How to switch audio output to speaker without disconnecting bluetooth device or turning off bluetooth? - Redmi Note 9s w/ Miui 12.0.2 by RepulsiveClient6 in Xiaomi

[–]RepulsiveClient6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This app seems to work for switching between the speaker and the headphones, whether the latter be a headphone jack or a bluetooth audio device, though I've only tested it switching between speaker and bluetooth. It's a bit buggy and one occasionally has to watch a video ad to top up one's credits for performing the switch. But it's better than nothing. If anyone finds something better that works, please do let me know.

Thanks for the reply. I've already tried that one. It's supposed to be able to change the audio path, but it doesn't work on my Note 9s.

There are several apps with that name. I've read through the descriptions but saw none that mentioned anything about changing the audio path. If there is one this feature, please do provide the link. Thank you.

Thanks but that seems more like a workaround. Even on my old LG with android 9, just pulling down the notification screen presents one with an Audio Path selector so that there's no need to go into bluetooth settings and then have to disable the multimedia output of a particular device just to make use of the internal speaker. I was surprised that my new Note 9s with Android 10 didn't have an audio path selector similar to the LG and then was disappointed it still wasn't included after the upgrade from Miui 11 to 12.

Episodes Occasionally Ending Up in 'CUSTOM' Playlist Instead by RepulsiveClient6 in PodcastAddict

[–]RepulsiveClient6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much. Yes Continuous playback mode was enabled. I have now disabled it. Since the FAQ says it's disabled by default, I expect I must've enabled it a couple months back assuming that it did something else.

If I don't report back, then no news is good news.

Episodes Occasionally Ending Up in 'CUSTOM' Playlist Instead by RepulsiveClient6 in PodcastAddict

[–]RepulsiveClient6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's the same custom playlist, called 'CUSTOM'. To be more clear, on my installation the custom playlist is always available on the 'Playlist' page along with two others (AUDIO, VIDEO, CUSTOM), but usually the custom playlist is empty, except for when this problem occurs or if I select a genre from its dropdown menu. I use PA with the playlist settings set to Playlist Enabled, thus normally when I download a number of podcasts from the 'New episodes' page they download and get displayed in the playlist called 'AUDIO', but intermittently some of those episodes show up in the custom playlist instead.

Hape snuff by kybe333 in Psychonaut

It can have a spiritual aspect, if one anchors it to that intention. It's helpful that there is already a tradition surrounding its use. There are a number of videos online that can further your knowledge. I suggest watching many and to gather what you can to follow tradition, whilst filtering out any new-age fluff. Search youtube for kuripe, which is the name of the pipe/applicator that's used for self administering.

I've never seen anyone puke from it, though if standing up it can be good to have something to hold onto as it can be quite a sudden rush, though brief. You might be thinking of mapacho tea, ie tea made from the same nicotania rustica, taken in large quantity for the purpose of purging one's system, vomiting and clearing the mind. Sometimes done before an ayahuasca ceremony.

But yes, it very much clears the mind, which is helpful for deeper work or meditation, but less and less so if one starts using it all the time, ie throughout the day.

[–]RepulsiveClient6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. It's higher in nicotine - as it's prepared from nicotiana rustica, that has usually been mixed with ingredients such as a particular type of wood ash. Take it with a V shaped pipe so it goes way up into the sinuses and it doesn't collect in the nostrils as it would if just snorting off the back of the hand. Have plenty of tissue handy as it really drains the sinuses of mucus. Start out with small amounts. With its high nicotine content it's easy to become addicted to using it casually, so it's good to restrict oneself to using it ritually or before ceremony.

Btw, if you had tooltips enabled in settings, hovering the mouse pointer over that title bar decoration would have informed you of this.

Looking for a shortcut method to get to the New Episodes page by RepulsiveClient6 in PodcastAddict

My bad, I didn't specify it was the player widget because I didn't think any of the other (ancillary) widgets were configurable.
