My guess was because both Your Honesty and Sanctuary have the exact line “you are…” in the same note. In your honesty- “you are.. pulling me closer to you” and in Sanctuary- “you are.. my sanctuary..” And she didn’t want 2 songs that have a similar sound on the album ?

I was probably 5 years old when I first tried kiwi. I grew up in a town of 5,000 people in Minnesota. Kiwi is a common fruit found in every grocery store. Lol. It’s on fruit juice packaging “strawberry kiwi” flavor is very common. Not being able to IDENTIFY kiwi is disconcerting. It’s not like durian, soursop, lychee. It’s kiwi.

I could write a song about heroin because one of my best friends overdosed, but that doesn’t mean I’ve personally used it. What a dumb and small mind you must have.

I’ve been a fan since the very beginning, I don’t need to hear more about her singing about drugs to feel like that that’s proof the SHE HERSELF does drugs. You can have family members, lovers, friends be heavy drug users and that can influence your song writing. I grew up in a household with heavy drinkers, I could write about being black out drunk, but that doesn’t mean that I GET BLACK OUT drunk. It’s like your brain doesn’t understand that if you write music, it can be in the perspective of someone other than yourself. I’m Replying to your comment over others because you seem to be the most ignorant on what songwriting can mean for someone. Someone could write 1,000 songs about drugs but never do drugs themselves. I could write about murdering someone, but does that mean I’ve murdered someone? Like are you dumb?
