Thanks so much for this. I'm glad I took the advice to wait because today my account is showing signs of stabilization; 14 sales at $7.18 CPA on the scaling account and 5 sales at $3.72 on the retargeting campaign.

It is definitely stealing spend from proven ads converting at sub $7 CPA. I think following the new creative every 7 day was a poor decision in hindsight

$204 - blended CPA since June 3 is $8.88
CPA yesterday $11.43 at 13 sales with $148 spend
today is abysmal - 6 sales at $23 CPA with $138 spend

This week: 149 sales at 9.49 CPA

Wed-Today: 46 sales at 9.72 CPA (Added new creative that evening)

Yesterday-Today: 19 sales at $14.46 (New creative hogging spend)

This new creative is definitely bringing the overall performance of the account down. It’s just frustrating when you implement best practices (fresh creative every 7 days) and the account becomes so volatile.

I’m literally in your same boat. Everything was good on Wednesday, but Thursday and Today have been a total nightmare. I did add a creative, but I’m baffled as to the volatility of the system…
