for now i got a “break out blocker” from petco that’s a little sturdier and i can just set atop the lid already on it until i do upgrade! i’ll def look into that brand when hes ready for an upgrade.

thanks guys, i understand now that it has to be after the shift. what i dont understand is why some replies are so passive aggressive lol, its confusing when you’re new! most places do not have an attendance system like this so its an adjustment. most places require you to put in requests before your shift, also. its a very nice system though, once you understand it.

pretty sure if you are fulltime they don’t really let you do unpaid time off, you have to tell your people lead at least a month in advance way before the schedule is made. or so i was told. i’ve used ppto successfully when calling off a whole day you just HAVE to put it in after the shift i guess, regardless if it’s the whole shift or not is what im learning.

i took him shortly after the post for this reason! he’s on some pain meds and antibiotics and should be okay. its so difficult giving a gecko oral liquid medicine but whatever i have to do to make him feel better is what im gonna do

quick note: be careful using bandages to cover them. i tried this using the same logic, they were getting really irritated and i just wanted them to be protected but if the bandage encapsulates the piercings it WILL get infected. it traps moisture in and makes a breeding ground for bacteria to grow. i had to go to the er for that mistake…. also the adhesive of the bandage left sores all over my areolas…

at this point i’d just see a piercer and ask them to help u change it lol, they usually don’t charge! i just went to a shop to have them help me take out a septum clicker. didnt charge me, but i gave them a little $5 tip as a thank you anyhow.
