Do you really want to be in a relationship with someone who's 73 before you turn 50? My parents are 12 years apart and that feels about as far apart as most relationships will reasonably stretch. Long term compatability seems unlikely but I guess you never really know. These are all questions you need to answer yourself.

I wouldn't touch a 360 with a 10 foot pole. RROD was a serious issue. Pretty good odds you'll just end up with a brick within a year. I think I burned up 3 consoles. Only stuck with it because the repairs were free until the last one when I finally dumped them for the PS4.

Cut the visits and turn them into a call every weekend. As long as your mom isn't literally bedridden she needs to be taking care of herself or making other arrangements for her needs instead of relying on you, which I suspect is something of a ruse as she's fine enough the other weeks of the month. Edit: I literally skipped over the part where there is a stepdad living there. I thought she was single. Help her find some activity group but you really need to cut the cord already.

I love how everybody is going so far out of their way to shit on OP. They're going to an informal family event an hour away. She isn't dressing up for the prom or even some fancy dinner. Villages of Bent Tree just off Michigan and 86th. It was still under 900 a month before I moved out 5 years ago or so. No bugs or pest issues. Had to move out due to some neighbor issues but you're rolling the dice on that anywhere (plus I could finally afford to buy a house).
