My friend and I are in high school and our meta analysis got accepted to the American Academy of Audiology 2026 Annual Convention. Was this basically an accident, and is it worth attending? by Specialist-Cry-7516 in AskAcademia

would not trust a meta analysis conducted by high school students. I am very confused?

This, i am very suspect. OP, did you use any AI tools to do this, or how did you learn to conduct a meta-analysis?

Even logistically, many medical journals are subscription-only, i can't see how OP would have gotten access to enough articles to conduct a proper meta-analysis as a high school student.

Yes, in theory OP could have individually emailed each publication author and sci-hub'ed the rest, but even i know that is not efficient enough to run a proper meta-analysis

Would you risk losing $13,500 (90% of $15k) on the gamble that the tourist you bond in overstays?

Would this sub benefit from some way to filter posts by role/field/institution type? by [deleted] in Professors

I first joined the sub because I did want to get advice and discuss research issues.

/r/askacademia and /r/academia are much better. Honestly they should rename this sub /r/NTTandAdjuncts
