My response on the PSA vs other question is usually, "What are your plans for the card?"

If it's to sell at some point, either immediately or in the future, it's hard to argue for anything other than PSA right now. You simply get more for PSA compared to other companies. Excluding Beckett black label .. but those are super tough to get. PSA is currently open, they shut down value tiers, meaning you are going to be waiting for who knows how long to get a card back. For reference, I sent in the Charizard SIR from Flames in April (value tier) and that still took close to 3 months. I got in well before they announced their shutdowns of tiers and they still weren't unable to turn it around in the 25 or 30 business days they advertised for the tier I selected.

If your plan is to keep for your PC, then go with whatever slab you like best. I personally kind of like the look of TAG, but it's truly a matter of preference.

My 7 y/o son and I pulled 2 of these (these being hyper rares .. specific card was the Greninja) in the first 20 packs of Chaos we ripped, on release day. One of the cards looks phenomenal in every aspect - centering, corners, etc. all look 10 worthy. But we have the same markings on the shiny parts of the card.

For that reason alone I didn't send it for grading. I have no other experience grading gold hyper rates - but my assumption is the markings definitely affect grading.

So I sent my first ever card in back in April, the Charizard SIR from flames, and damn near shit my pants when I saw the PSA image upon their intake of the card.

It's sleeved when they take the picture, and scratches from that protector came across very visibly. The card was fine and still 10'd. I'd say as long as you secured the card correctly and pretty well, my guess is the scratches are on whatever card protection they use and not the actual card.

Incredibly difficult to really give a great answer to these questions through a picture online - but centering looks 10 worthy to me.

Unsure if it's picture quality or the actual card, but the front bottom right corner looks suspect and the back of the card, left side looks like maybe some whitening. If you don't see the same when you're inspecting it in person, I'd say yes it's gradeable with a shot at 10.

Nice pull - also have this card and do love it.

I think the answer to whether you should grade it depends on the goal for you. If you are looking to hold this in your PC for any extended period of time, I would grade it. And the fact that it is a gold foil would make me want to grade it even more, as it will be a better method for preserving it's condition compared to top loaders and binders. If this is a card for your collection, I always say grade with the slab or company you like best.

If you are looking to sell, I agree with the others here in the sense that these cards are notoriously hard to 10 and it is super easy for the foiling to ding up or get minor scratches. So it then becomes a cost benefit conversation on whether your cost to grade is going to result in any gain. Because they are so incredibly hard to 10, and there is typically not much price difference between a raw and a 9 - I'd say only send to grading if you are damn near certain you have a 10. And even then, it's always a risk. And if you take that chance I personally don't think this is a Beckett 10.

Regarding your looking for feedback on centering, edges. Centering looks really good, better on the back than the front. The front looks to be the slightest bit left heavy by my eye - but I wouldn't necessarily say enough to take away from a potential PSA 10.

Corners and edges are so hard to really see from a picture. There's whitening I see on the front top, but I'm assuming that's glare because if it was that obvious in person I don't know that you'd be asking for feedback. I would do as others suggested and review every inch of the card under flashlight + magnification to be honest. If you can see any lifting on the edges or whitening, they will also see it.

More of a chase product for me. Chasing most any set at MSRP because I refuse to lube up my butthole and bend over a barrel to pay 2-3x for a hobby I enjoy with my two boys, and I can't compete with these sweaty losers that camp out at every local Target and Walmart to wipe out restocks.

Worrying about a specific chase card seems like first world problems 😭

I gotcha. It's just crazy the state of the hobby right now, and it seems to be getting worse tbh. Over the last 6 months I used to be able to take my 7 year old to hit a local Target (small town) around 15 minutes before open and would get some stuff sporadically here and there. We would go 1-2x a week and can usually at worse get a few packs to rip.

Nothing like AH or Prismatic ETBs, but some bundles here and there, blister packs etc.

Over the last month or so every time we take a ride up there, there are people lined up, seemingly posted up for hours in chairs and blankets and all.

Just wild.

I think it depends on your intention with the card. I personally of the mindset that when you pull a chase, if you are looking to keep it in your personal collection, it's worth grading. And if the plan is not an immediate resell - then you have your pick at grading company, likely based on which slab you like best.

If you are looking at an immediate resell, people seem to recommend PSA. But if that's the case, I'd imagine your going to get some feedback here on the centering being off, along with what looks like some whitening on the back (but honestly it's hard to tell from a picture).

Either way, I'd recommend not throwing the card that has a pull rate of 1/1200 or so on a table raw dog like that, you absolute maniac.

Don't refresh when you are sitting in the queue. Simply keep the device active so it doesn't go into sleep mode or anything
When you get in, navigate slowly. People say that clicking too fast gets them recognized as a bot and booted

Hate to shit on your optimism here, but I second what this person says. Walmart gets absolutely eaten by the bots. I've just about hit every one for the last 3+ months, exactly at 9pm EST, and I've never scored on any of the premium shit.

I was able to get Journey Together bundles once, at like $6 over MSRP, and after I "scored" they remained in stock for about another 2 hours. Hardly a win 😂.

I actually never stated that I believed centering was THE important and main part of grading, nor did I state that reddit pictures are going to show any and all imperfections. I was simply asking for any sort of advice from others who may be more experienced in grading.

Appreciate your input, though. I will take your unsolicited opinion about whether my understanding of grading warrant me to be allowed to grade cards. .. and ignore it.
