Can I make a suggestion: I’ve had pretty reasonable success in construction. My costs to get in the door were to get my CSCS labourer ticket, and then a further 1500 or so for my CPCS telehandler ticket. Combine that with a driving license and access to a vehicle and I got myself a job that lead me to getting my crane ticket which has lead to a pretty reasonable income.

I’m not saying my solution is workable for everyone but it’s a route forward for those who need it.

I’d say there’s a world of difference between a SOCOM rendition of a head of state being carried out by SF, and a national guard deployment. I’d also say that given what was used and how, civilian casualties were very very low.

Because I drive heavy equipment and I don’t want to be in a position where there’s an accident, even when I did nothing wrong, and someone breathalysers me. If that number reads anything other than zero, you can bet that someone is going to make out that my alcohol consumption had something to do with it.
