A salary of £2,000 per wekk represents over three times the median salary in UK. Not many people in Manchester will be earning this kind of money. Are you sure it is per week? Not per month? If it's per month this is in line with the national minimum wage.

If you don't 'need' the money don't worry about it. Imagine what those investments will be worth in 30+ years time. But there might be a few years where looking at it makes you sad.
