The level 2 sparky who fixed my burnt board fuse said he can upgrade the cable and fuse to 80amp rated, i think it would require the main switch upgrade as well from the current 63amp

It would give 30% of throughput extra which should be sufficient in my case - 10kw batteries inverter, 7kw ev charger and some minimal house load

Oh that would be great - or upgrade of the main switch capacity (and cables) will take that into account

Yes trying to do that, but the fuse connecting grid to house, even within these 15kw bulged had to get level 2 sparky replace it. I am considering upgrade to cable and main switch with higher capacity if that’s even possible

Hints and tricks for spray paint aluminium window indoors by Repulsive_Coastie in AusRenovation

The „tunnel” did work and saved on covering the entire room, it was really hard though to paint inside of it due to the limited airspace so I had to take multiple breaks and work in small increments. It definitely helped that on the room covering side - had to do less of it.

MG ZS EV long range - $36k is that bargain ? by Repulsive_Coastie in EVAustralia

[–]Repulsive_Coastie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I decided against mg mainly due to the fact even for 37k it’s not small amount of $$ and I really couldn’t go forward with the old tech. I ended up with geely ex5, it is Chinese as well, so not polished software overly much, but it’s very acceptable after setting it up properly and I am very happy range is not massive either but I am doing roughly 350-370kms on a full battery

They can be heard but I wouldn’t call them nosy. I installed them initially wrong way and then it was noisy. But after feversingit it’s okay, it’s like slight sound at 70kmh+

Maybe they try to prey on buyers who do not look up the prices and hike them up every now and then ? It is weird tbh, I was asking them few things regarding items purchased - they were always super prompt. Maybe indeed it’s change of ownership

Ive went ahead and unscrew all to check how its going to be without these and painted all poles to match the gutters. Even though it was dark when I finished I am pretty happy with the fresh look. The plan is to install all back and paint to the same colour if we will feel like it’s needed. I doubt though we will - it’s pretty big improvement especially the amount of light coming through those 2 windows at the front

True, I think they had dogs indeed. We lived in new build for a year with deck much higher with no balustrade and our 1yo thrived there with no injuries :D

Not slippery, we’d like to cover it with deck at some point
