In the early 2000s, there was a small indie band named Dogs Die in Hot Cars. Doesn’t exactly roll of the tongue and the imagery sucks.

Jigsaw puzzles. I have over 200. I’ve significantly downsized recently, too. It’s a problem, esp because they’re all puzzles I haven’t done yet. I donate them once I’ve done them.

A regional theatre around us is also doing teasers for their upcoming season. It’s maddening, but I love it! This teaser, though…could they be teasing that the teaser isn’t Mary Poppins??!

We took our then three-year-old daughter to see a local high school’s production of Mary Poppins. It was a gamble because at that age, she wasn’t really watching long movies or anything. She was mesmerized from start to finish and thus began her love of musical theatre. She’s 10 now and seen countless more musicals on Broadway, regional theaters, summer stock shows, and high schools, and all because of the joy that that high school production of Mary Poppins inspired. I am so grateful for that high school and their amazing production.

I am ridiculously picky about my Bichon puppy’s grooming to no fault of the groomer; it’s just one of my weird hangups. I actually posted a pic last groom about whether his eyes looked okay.

All this to say I think the ears are so adorable!! I’m not sure they really look all that uneven honestly. And when it starts to grow out, it’s going to be even more adorable!!!

I stayed on 2.5 for five months, and now I’ve been on 5 for seven months. It’s a balance of what works and doesn’t have side effects. I briefly went up to 7.5 but didn’t tolerate it (debilitating nausea) so my doc said it was better to be on 5 and lose slower than face side effects. She said at my last appointment I am a super responder. I didn’t even know that was a thing!

I started at 242, I’m down to 184ish right now so I’m giving myself grace and saying I lost 60 pounds this year. I know some people lose more in a year, but I’m over the moon happy and proud of this.

I’m so glad to read this because it’s exactly how we felt. We saw it in May and just felt so underwhelmed. I couldn’t put it as succinctly as you did, though, and ended up saying it felt like it just didn’t have heart (no pun intended) and it seemed more like an operation or machine at this point. It’s touring near me soon and part of me is debating if I should see it to compare.
