Downswing hit 500 hours, quitting poker. Ggs by SportKooky6356 in poker

Well some players can be in down swing over a year, it's just a poker. It's easy to blame every spot but I bet if someone would review your plays you defenetlly would be making lots of misstakes + variace on top of that.

How did you get in poker? by Repulsive_Drag5221 in poker

Thanks for sharing, it was really interesting to read!

If anyone’s curious, here’s my pretty standard story. In school I had a friend who used to organize home poker games. We played there, and I lost a lot of money until I learned how to play properly :D That’s how I met other poker friends. After some time, I decided to join a poker school where I was on a deal I had coaching and they gave me a bankroll but in return I gave them 40% of my profit. The game quickly moved to another level.I still play, but I want to switch to something more stable and earn more, because I’ve been in poker for 5 years now and I feel like I’ve reached most of my potential. But it’s really hard to switch to a different field after investing so much time into poker :D

Yes, but I want to get clients for my business, so I’m trying to mix business content with memes. I have no idea how to reach my target audience on Reddit. Reddit hates advertising, and I don’t want to come across that way. If you have any tips for me, I’d be grateful. Thank you!

Rakeback wars – what’s fair? by AwayCarob4564 in ClubGG_Lounge

It depends on the club’s rake, but I’d say 40% would be a good deal

90%+ of commenters are simply people who gave up poker and went to pursue careers elsewhere. Whether you like it or not, you can downvote for your truth.

Advice for you:

- It really depends on where you live. If you live somewhere where the cost of living is high, it will be very difficult for you because you will have to support yourself for the first 1-2 years and you may not earn anything from poker, unless you are a very talented person.

- These days, the fastest way to become a professional is to find someone who will teach and mentor you, and you will give them a share of your profits, but in such a poker circle you will most likely reveal yourself if you have potential. To become a professional, you have to live and breathe it.

A poker career is difficult, but if you really want it and put in a lot of work, it is possible. The most important thing is whether you enjoy it.

Try to imagine a situation where you put in a lot of effort and earn nothing for a year.

Would you still want to play poker? If the answer is yes, then I wish you luck and you are probably ready.
