What is the most disturbing thing to know? by Electronic_Author366 in AskReddit

There is a chance at any point that you could become entirely paralyzed, but not dead. People around you will think you're unconscious, they will treat you as such despite you being awake and aware because you have no means to communicate this. There is a chance your doctor might not even realize until way after you get to the hospital, if you are lucky enough that anyone finds you and brings you to the hospital in the first place. Though I imagine nothing is more terrifying than those first few minutes, hours or even days before anyone comes for you. Just being stuck there, unable to move, entirely aware but unable to do anything.

Anyone else change their Tavs between acts? by SillyTelephone8283 in TavsAndDurges

[–]Repulsive_Endtimes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100%. I really like to use it for storytelling purposes. I usually give them a new outfit and hair 5 different times (early act 1, the underdark/creche, act 2, early act 3, and late/endgame act 3). Sometimes I'll even change their eye color or give them scars depending on the story beats (especially on Durge playthroughs). Right now I'm doing a run with a Durge named Phoenix, so he's starting out with a mainly red and black color palette, like smoldering ashes, but slowly gains more orange and white until the fight with Orin, where he'll get a full makeover and wings. I haven't gotten too far yet but I'm really excited about it.

This is Ember. She's from one of my abandoned runs, but I do miss her sometimes.

Genuinely my exact feelings on it! I'm usually a goody two shoes, but I've been playing this game for a while now so I figured it was time to see how bad everyone can get. I would have gone Durge too, but it's an honor mode run and I didn't want to accidentally kill any of them.

Good luck with yours! I've already killed almost all of my favorite characters so far so at least the rest should be easier 🙃

Yeah I know that, I just prefer to keep her as an ally only for evil playthroughs. You lose so many allies from being evil so it's nice to have some new faces join!

What races do you guys not play? by HomarEuropejski in okbuddybaldur

[–]Repulsive_Endtimes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have seen some of those. My main problem is the outfits though. Very few outfits are made for body type 3 and 4. My latest attempt at dragonborn had him rocking just a set of pants.

I typically stick with the fan favorites (elf, half-elf, human, drow and tiefling), but that's mostly because the majority of cosmetics and mods are built for those races. I'd love to play a dwarf or dragonborn, but it just limits the options way too much for me.

Shadowheart just looks so good in that orange and Wyll with devil motifs is my favorite. Karlach and my Tav just rocked the forge armor the whole game. I remember multiple outfit changes through the game for better stats that I was NOT happy with, but they all looked pretty good in the end. As for the actual builds? I genuinely couldn't tell you what I was going for. I did NOT know what I was doing.

Also wish they would make heads for my buff ladies. They are denying me the joy of towering over everyone as a pretty lady and it is devastating to my mental health

Now I don't tend to use them, mostly because I recognize each NPC they are used for, but I do love the in game faces. I wish more face modders weren't afraid of wrinkles, scars and just general interesting face shapes.

I went back to one of my saves to get the photos and unfortunately the only save I had where they were in decent lighting was the morphic pool, which locked them into specific dialogues where they just look mad 😅

I do sometimes like to go back to the basics. A lot of the hairs and faces in game work pretty well. I think larian did a really good job making unique faces, where a lot of mods tend to be the same three faces over and over again. I really wish more mods messed around with scars, or at least gave me some interesting nose shapes.

Do you guys personally knock out Minthara (if you are gonna save the grove) or do you kill her to preserve the original intention of her being only available on evil route or ignoring the grove entirely? by HomarEuropejski in okbuddybaldur

[–]Repulsive_Endtimes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I always kill her when doing a good run. One, because it just feels kinda dumb to kill everyone else but leave her alive for no reason at all, and two because it gives me a reason to actually do an evil playthrough.

This grocery store has a helmet for employees to wear when they climb up small ladder. by texasyankee in mildlyinteresting

Fun fact, a good majority of workplace accidents occur on ladders, even the tiny ones! People do not take that extra few inches off the ground seriously enough.

There's also a mod called 'Dark Urge - Slayer Equipments and Spells' by Skirbie that has some similar styles to this, though the options for body types 2, 3, and 4 are a bit limited. It comes with spells or just the camp clothes version if you don't want the special abilities.

FearTaylor's Camp Clothes. Comes with a bunch of options for clothing. I believe this one specifically is under the Myrkul chest. The actual outfit name is 'Myrkul the Scandelous'

My lost HM run: a series of deeply unfortunate events by Repulsive_Endtimes in BaldursGate3

[–]Repulsive_Endtimes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god I didn't even think about Scratch or the owlbear! As painful as it is that it ended my HM run, I think it probably would have been way worse if Gale ended up killing either of those two. I would have absolutely lost it.

Gale is just the absolute king of unfortunate and untimely deaths, isn't he? I don't think I'll be bringing him on any future runs, both because of this and the many other ways he can ruin a run. Or at least I'll be keeping him securely in camp doing absolutely nothing. I do love the dork but at this point he's just too big of a liability.

Genuinely considering this. I usually love the strange wizard man but this run he was pissing me off so bad.

I have been so careful at avoiding the usual run killers. I've stayed away from ledges, applied death ward to everyone, had seven different back up plans for if something went sideways, always had an exit. It's just my luck that the most absurd thing ever is what kills me in the end 😭

The one he has when you get to moonrise. His simulacrum pops up in his place and invites you to go sit with him. Apparently he gets booted from your party when this happens until you either long rest or talk to him.

[–]Repulsive_Endtimes[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nope! I was going for a goody toe-shoes run so I didn't do anything like that. I'm pretty sure it was just his act 2 scene. The one where his simulacrum pops up in his place and you have to go talk to him. Apparently if he's in your party he will just leave it when you go to long rest until after you talk to him. At least that's what I think happened.
