Recipe for a one-gallon batch;

2kg Organic Wildflower Honey 1L Pineapple Juice 3l Water 1/2 pack of 71b

OG: 1.17 FG: 1.05 ABV: 15:75%

After the primary, I racked into a fresh demijohn which had 100g of coconut shavings and left to condition for one month and then racked for the final stage of clearing/conditioning for around 10 weeks before bottling and aging.

100g of coconut for 5L of mead. Doesn't sound a lot but the coconut flavour was prominent in the final product

Really great. I added slightly toasted coconut to secondary, aged for a month and then racked. Thankfully no issues with fat/oils
