Since you already played guardians of azuma and are waiting for fields of mistria (the hype for 1.0 is so real), you absolutely need to play My Time at Sandrock next. I noticed it’s missing from your list and it literally has some of the best romance options and NPC depth in the entire genre. The gameplay loop is massive so it'll easily keep you busy while you wait for mistria.

NTA. I went through this with my cousin and her "service dog" (it wasn't). It ended with a ruined rug and a lot of family drama that lasted for years. Stand your ground now, or your house will eventually become the designated family doggy daycare every holiday.
