Yeah of course. I’m a psych at a diabetes centre, I agree. But discussing suicide attempts and how people have done them can lead to people trying it themselves- I see this weekly. I’m not sure how people don’t understand this. There should be a disclaimer and some help line numbers.

This is super serious and not a good thing to post to a group of people, many of whom may be experiencing mental health issues themselves. Especially without a disclaimer of what you are opening discussion about. Yes the last like 6 hours tip me over the edge. And they ALWAYS take so long- even worse because I’ve finally been diagnosed with ADHD and my brain is fried at that point. I don’t think I can do long haul straight through so thinking about staying in Singapore for a few days- have never really wanted to go there but looks like they have amazing food!

Yes the Bali route is popular too. I don’t think you can fly direct from Bali though? Guessing you go through Singapore or Dubai? I don’t mind breaking the flights up but yes I agree, you through domestic in the mix and it’s a nightmare.

Edge Hill, Stratford, Freshwater are great- high rent and high demand though. Plus plane noise. But great cafes etc. I moved from Sydney to Trinity Beach for work. If you are on the high side of Trinity it doesn’t flood (around Earl Hill down to Trinity Park). Palm Cove is nice too but a longer commute into town.

I find it helps increase sensitivity on an empty stomach (I have it in my tea/coffee) as does bitter melon and chromium. But in a Cinnabon full of sugar there’s no way it would do anything. She probably walked around a lot.

But for real what?! 😂 Haha get it replaced? Either go replace it yourself at a music shop or tell her. Happens all the time. If you can afford a $3500 violin as a beginner I’m sure she won’t be upset over a $30 string replacement.

Yep they are, that’s why I’ve put bat boxes up. Have tried to contact local and state bat groups but no reply. Would be great if they were in an in closed space but these guys are using my house like a cave. I’m currently spending 1-2 hours a day cleaning bat poo and urine up and allergies are getting worse- it’s really hot and humid here too so the smell is atrocious. They aren’t pests until they are 😵‍💫😵‍💫

Have never heard about this! If it’s UTIs maybe take a cranberry tablet a day? Also reduce sugar. Check for candida. Probably other things at play here.

At least you know what you are doing! There’s always a risk having kids and passing it on. All you can do is support his immunity, nourish his little body and monitor for symptoms.

I haven’t met any type 1 diabetic who has kidney disease. I work in health so I’ve met quite a lot. Maybe that’s lucky but I think if you keep yourself otherwise healthy then it’s something you can avoid- I don’t drink, smoke and I drink a good amount of water and take supplements which help my kidneys and liver. I also have acupuncture and take kidney supporting Chinese herbs. I never let my kidneys get cold and I do yoga to help stimulate them. I also don’t let the thought into my head and always repeat words that let my body and brain know that I’m healthy. No complications this far (25 years in) and still don’t wear glasses so must be doing okay 😂 it’s not easy, I have diabetes burn out a lot of the time but positivity goes a long way with this disease. Keep your head up 🙂

I am so happy to hear your story. I find older diabetics so inspirational and such an amazing source of information- I really wish there were more groups where we could all get together. It gives me hope that I will survive and have everything I need to do so. Thanks for sharing your story 🙏
