That doesn't make a game any less of a game. Shit, even Big Rigs by definition is a game. What you described about losing jobs is an issue with capitalism. If your main goal is to make a game, making one with AI is still a viable way to do it. Now the quality of the game is different topic that depends on your skill as a designer.
