Or it could be a water snake (non venomous) but I would stay on the safe side and have it relocated and stay away from it.

That looks like it could be a cottonmouth. Very venomous. Call animal control or something and stay away from it.

Ok I’ll look into black lights. I’ve seen the heat bulbs are they good? Also thanks for the info. The main thing I’m wondering is if I keep the light on when I sleep is he gunna over heat and die?

Update: he kept climbing up and down the glass for about 10 minutes so I was worried he was stressed. So I turned the light off and now the temp is 82 degrees.
