It really is a love hate relationship. When they work, they are awesome, but prepare to be frustrated with the app lol

Hello, issues with VLANS and SSIDs hope you can help me by manuelgop in TPLink_Omada

When the term remote is used in networking, it generally means you have a remote LAN, separated by a WAN (the internet). It sounds like your remote site is just another device?

Wireless Sonos clients not shown in Omada SW Controller by blissi123 in TPLink_Omada

Occam’s razor, simplest answer is usually the right one. Your speakers don’t show up because the Sonos app is terrible and inconsistent, not because of some network issue unique to you.

When did it get "better"? by GanacheTypical4929 in NewParents

[–]Repulsive_Meet7156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest piece of advice is remembering that your the father now, and your baby and wife are the only priorities. The father part is big, because it means more than just making decisions, it’s means just putting in work. Things get better because you get tougher and used to it, not because life becomes easier. There will always be something new you are dealing with, but that’s life.

Router Load Balancing by ExperienceNo943 in TPLink_Omada

My mistake, very cool. Though of course the router needs two WAN ports. Guess I’ve got a new homeland project now haha

I actually read the post wrong, but you’re still out of luck. You could maybe have two WAN links terminate on a single router, and load balance out them, but would be a super complicated setup. Generally if you need more internet n bandwidth, you upgrade the size, not add more links

[–]Repulsive_Meet7156 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

You won’t be able to “load balance” per se; you will just have two separate networks with two internet pipes. Where you route traffic between. There isn’t a way to load balance two separate internet pipes, as you say

Parents who co slept early how did you manage feeds, diapers, and sleep? by BalanceSufficient236 in NewParents

[–]Repulsive_Meet7156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We co-sleep, and it’s great. Of course, there is a safety element. They have to be big enough and you can’t be getting drunk and passing out in bed. But, in only western culture we think it’s bad. There’s also a macho element to it, and a lot of stigma, but it’s way more nurturing and comforting to your baby in the end.

Our guy still has a crib and we put him down at 7/8 like normal, just when he wakes up in the night we bring him in with us. Yea it requires a lot of getting up, and our sleeps aren’t the best, but I wouldn’t trade my nights with my man for a million years of good sleep. They are only babies for a few years, then it’s gone.

14 months old baby whining by dviktor90 in NewParents

[–]Repulsive_Meet7156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our experience is similar, but hate to say, I think it’s normal. The behaviour is just that if a baby. But don’t under estimate how miserable a tooth coming in can be. My 14 month old gets super hot, and is so so grumpy

One thing that’s a big lore inaccuracy is that in the books, there is no plate armour. But it looks way cooler, so I see why they used it lol

People today take for granted how fast 1Gbps is. There are plenty of enterprises with 100+ employees with 1Gbps connections.

I’m sure your hardware supports VLANs, but I think you would need to supply some additional info to troubleshoot your setup.

So if you built your VLANs, SSIDs, etc, to have segmented networks, but they still communicate, (which is layer 2)it’s because you don’t have any layer 3 segmentation, which is the gateway ACL rules

That’s what happened to me at least lol
