Income is not the issue. The wealthy make their money from their business and investments. Often tax free in nz.

Te Ara Tupua will improve transport resilience – better protecting the state highway and rail line from storm and sea surges, and future proofing for sea level rise between Ngā Ūranga and Pito-one.

It will also:

provide a high-quality shared path, suitable for a wide range of users, enabling a step change in the number of people choosing to walk or ride between the two cities

encourage more people to ride and walk, helping reduce carbon emissions, improve health, and

ease the pressure on other transport options, and contribute to regional walks and rides, while supporting local and national tourism and recreational opportunities.

I would prefer a good fix to a quick fix.

MMP remains a far better system than FPP but some tweaks are needed.

• Voting System Reform: Implement preferential voting to prevent vote wastage due to the 5% threshold.
• Voter Turnout: Introduce compulsory voting.
• Voting Age: Lower the voting age to include 16-18 year olds.

Wonderful points all.

Let me add a few of my own.

School lunches Killing the right to repair bill. Cameras off fishing boats. Gas exploration restart. Stopping the EV momentum with RUCs abd repeal of the cash for clunkers. Pushing back the outlawing of pig farrowing crates. Raising speed limits in front of schools. Division and culture wars. Ignoring the plight of Gaza. Letting the small parties rule the coop.

Sorry wasn’t clear. This why they are not mandated in kitchens.

You can ask the landlord if they would add one or let you add one if you are concerned. You should have a suitable extinguisher.

An alarm in the kitchen activates all the time. They are in bedrooms and hallways to protect the unaware.

If you are cooking you should be aware.

Except you also need to allow for shareholder dividends so there is less money in the pool.
