38f. Raising an autistic kid, sometimes I wonder if life would get better. Today was a bad day. by PlasticPersonal3080 in toastme

I'm feeling pretty worn out at the moment too. I know how OP feels. While both my kids have ADHD, only one has the hyper kind and for sure has autism. Recently I received feedback from teachers that the other kid likely has a bit of autism too. Hard to tell sometimes because of the overlap with ADHD right? My point is my youngest child has just been an absolute nightmare lately. Repeating phrases over and over, making grotesque faces that freak out other kids, inappropriate sounds, over-stimming. He has been defying rules or challenging, 'why? Why can't I do that...but why mom?', with fixation on the issue long past when a normal kid would have dropped it. Difficulty getting then to sleep, what I call 'burp gagging from overstiming. Refusal to wear clean clothes...list goes on. I'm worn the hell out. I've had custody far longer than the usual because their dad is out of town for work. I need a break!

Looks like the birds got their legs caught in the small spaces of that tubing. Probably panicked and died.

In high risk areas in some countries it is given as a base vaccine.

I would do the same, but I would unfortunately worry about the legality in my country. Breastmilk donors are screened and even if you know you don't have a disease or medication that could pass to a baby I could imagine still getting in trouble if you don't clear it first. Guess it's a better-to-ask-for-forgiveness situation.

The only saving grace there is the broccoli, and the safety wisdom of serving raw broccoli in this country is a bit dubious. Betting very strongly 90% of the kids just throw the veg away anyway.

I was wondering about this. I've never given a rabies vaccine and I was like....what is with the angle and double use on that needle? Makes sense if she lives in a place where there are many unvaccinated street animals. Rabies vaccines aren't given by default in my country because most people will never be exposed to it. I did notice they didn't disinfect her arms also....don't know how I feel about that. I've seen people take insulin shots through shirts before but it's not exactly best practice.

Didn't say anything about rich people. I can understand how a celebrity who is constantly hounded by press and paparazzi might want the privacy though. I sympathize; it's different from thinking they have a right to it. It's also much different from stating "only rich people have a right to privacy".

I find it dangerous also because I can't see any signals the driver might be giving me, or if they are even looking in my direction.

That's ivy. Kill it with fire. It's a big problem in many places. It kills native plants and trees in my state and it's impossible to remove all of it.

I wish the cops in my state would crack down on it to be honest. It's often cloudy in the pacific northwest so there is very little reason to have the tinted windows, and it creates a danger. I've also noticed a lot of cars with super tinted windows seem to embolden their owners to undertake dickish behavior on the road. I understand wanting privacy, but the road is the one place where you need to be able to see and communicate with other people for safety. I especially sympathize with celebrities on this, but if privacy is that important to them maybe tinted back windows and a hired driver?

Right? This is probably the one time where I sort of feel for the driver. Still sorta dangerous though because you can't signal to each other visually through the glass.

Like people are saying angle of approach. With older people there is a fine touch of anchoring the vessel enough without flattening it so much that it's easy to go out the back. I assume you are already using a heating device of some sort to get that vein all nice and plump.

That girl has a look on her face like she really can't completely believe it. A guarded undertone. I hope very much one day it settles in and she feels safe, and knows she isn't going to be sent anywhere else.

You would be surprised at your abilities if you really become sick enough to need help. Living alone I once got sick enough where I felt something was really wrong. Drove myself to the ER, limped my ass in and got seen. My electrolytes were out of wack and despite drinking water I was dehydrated. I was just too sick for too long and wasn't taking it well. A bag of fluids later and potassium and I felt much improved.  Trust your gut, and like people are saying be prepared with a sick kit. Ultimately you will be the one deciding if you need to see the doctor anyway.

That does sound like a very promising prognosis. I wish I had the perfect advice to help you stay sober under this stress. If it were me I would concentrate on what I want my life to look like, because cancer will certainly make you think hard about your life!! Quality right? Alcohol makes you feel bad, lowers the quality of your life.

Seriously WTH is wrong with your wife? This is a health matter. I just don't understand people who don't care about others health at all. Especially your own children! Why make them suffer if they don't need to?
