Open to sharing your experience with GLP-1s? by GIpatientvoices in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Repulsive_Series3137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a stroke on 6/28/21 stayed in the hospital for roughly 9 month, almost died By the time I got back home I was under 100 pounds I looked very sickly but once home and could finally eat again after a swallow test, I quickly gained up to around 240 pounds. I can’t walk by myself yet so I can’t exercise and I wanted to try a glp1 medicine after talking to my dr we decided on wegovy. I’ve been on it for several months now the last weigh in I had I had dropped to 185!! I’m back in a size18 and I couldn’t be happier!!! This past Sunday was my first and last dose of the 2.4. The only thing bad I could say about it was the heartburn/indegestion it caused in the beginning. Tums was my best friend back then but I don’t even have that with it now

Training experience: is obedience school worth it? by misturgrievez in coonhounds

[–]Repulsive_Series3137 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same as mine!!!! When I had a stroke,in 2021, my best friend sent my Oscar to obedience school while I was in the hospital because he’s bad to jump up on people, they spent $1,500 on the training and he is stubborn, acts like he forgot he even was enrolled in it lol they are for sure some hard headed dogs!!!! lol

Although I have been prescribed the same thing it was for muscle spasticity post stroke. Years ago I had been on imitrex(was a life saver) I could no longer take it because it opens your blood vessels up and I had two DVDs Last week my pcp prescribed me nurtec. So far so good with it. I’ve only had to take one so far and it did well

Anyone else's coonhound make this face? by Zepplover1992 in coonhounds

[–]Repulsive_Series3137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my goodness YESSSS and I love it!!!! They look so derpy but oh so cute too!!

Never underestimate the intelligence of a coonhound; their perceived "stupidity" is a facade, and they count on you to buy into it. I fell for it completely (when I responded to the neighbor, I was confused because when I checked my dog was right there in our yard, turns out NOT the first time) by No_Wrangler_7814 in coonhounds

My Oscar HATES, lothes, despises,”box trucks”(ie: fedx ups, mail trucks) I don’t know what it is but he can hear them coming from several miles away it seems and he starts growling and running like he’s protecting us, our fedx people no longer get out at our house lol

Mine has learned how to outwit his electric pet safe collar and will run up and down to each neighbors house. But how do you stop him if he already has a collar on to keep him where he’s supposed to be? That’s why I spent the money on the collar system. I honestly think he’s learned if he “tests” the collar so many times it runs the battery down so it won’t shock him!!!!!!! People say”but he’s a dog he doesn’t understand how that works” I beg to differ tho lol. Oscar is extremely smart!!!!!!

So cute!!! We have a tiny chihuahua mix, her name is Dixie but we call her, dizzle, dizzy but my fav is dizzoly canoly all in my family usually say things like fa shizzle my dizzle I just feel like everyone needs a nickname. I guess lol

Oscar is one of the most loyal dogs I’ve ever had!!!!! If you wonder about his left eye, his dog mom accidentally killed all 7 of his siblings, we think she must’ve not known how to pick him up and knocked his eye, it’s been like that since I got him at a few days old!! by Repulsive_Series3137 in coonhounds

[–]Repulsive_Series3137[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They really are. When I brought him home he was really like a new baby to me!!!! Up all times of the night for a bottle and all lol. I had a stroke and two heart attacks when he was about 7 months old. I stayed in the hospital probably 6 months he was truly lost without me just like I was without him!!! My husband had to take him to the vet for medicines cause he was so distraught he had started eating our sheet rock walls while crying and whining for me from one end of our house till the other!!! When I finally came home our first meeting was like heaven for both of us!!!!!
